I will be doing that G.M
I intend taking a few pics at the service and posting them for you guys.
I am also going to ask the family if I can post an actual photo of Peter on here so you can put a face to him.
I have been asked by a number of people on both sites for a pic of Drop Bear but will defer until I speak with the family.
There are a few QueeRZland residents who will be going to thew service and if anyone decides they want to fly up we will be offering a lift from the airport to the service (and return)
that would be nice mate. thanks.

This is very sad news. We had a lot of banter this year and it was all in good spirit. He was a cheerful bloke and will never forget him.
All the best to his family.

That just reminded me that he always used to tell me he wasn't related to the "Walter brother dickheads" lol
Always enjoyed winding him up about that mate.
Me and a couple of others from the infamous 1EE Nursing Home would tell him how much he looked like the Walters boys - if catching fish was that easy I would never eat red meat. lol

Guys
I just want to say
The loss of Pete has really hit me hard for some reason

It's amazing just how close we get to each other

Don't be fooled

This is not just a forum

The members are not just a user name

We do develop a form of friendship

Most of the people I argue with the most, I consider friends

Even @Zee

I'm always going to argue
But I'm not taking any of you for granted again

I took Pete for granted
There is so many things I want to say to him now.

But I can't cause he is gone m

I miss him

BTW - forgot to mention
IF - big IF anyone does fly in for the service we can arrange pick up at the airport and transport to and from the service.
Let me know asap.

NOW
I cannot thank Mr I enough for the support he has given me lately.
He has done a fantastic job on putting together a tribute to Drop Bear which I have had printed on quality gloss paper and bound to give to the family tomorrow on behalf of the Kennel.
IF the floral tribute turns out as expected it will be as awesome as Drop Bear himself.
Originally I was going for separate tributes from the Kennel and 1EE - but my florist (who is nothing short of brilliant) assures me she will perform a feat never before accomplished in the history of Floristry (is that even a word?) and has created a single (massive) tribute with both clubs colours done in flowers
Pics will follow by tomorrow night.
There are a couple more special people here in the Kennel that have helped me through this massive week and kept me strong.
Trouble is, if I started trying to name them all I bet I will forget someone who deserves mention - so to those of you (you know who you are) thanks heaps - I would not have made it without your help.

MR I - take a bow and put your work up here so everyone can see it please.

Sir Col will definitely be there.

I would have given anything to go and pay my respects but unfortunately work and kids have prevented it. I will certainly pause and give a thought tomorrow at 12pm.

Hey Zee, you live up that way don't you mate?

I honestly would of been there if I could travel.

I kinda feel guilty that I won't be there.
I know what you mean, but don't be. A wise man once said to me "Don’t Worry About Things You Can’t Change or Have No Control Over" and I think you know who I am talking about.

Hey Col,

It's all you mate.. for putting up the idea in the first place.

Pass on my personal condolences to the family.. this was partly my way of honoring such a good bloke.

I've attached the entire tribute as a PDF file for anyone wanting to take a look.

This was the first page of it.
