God saw you getting tired
And a cure was not to be
So he put His arms around you
And whispered "Come to me."

With tearful eyes we watched you
As you slowly slipped away
And though we loved you dearly
We couldn't make you stay.

Your golden heart stopped beating
Your tired hands put to rest
God broke our hearts to prove to us
He only takes the best.

Love it. We can't fight God once he wants us. The devil will love to play on people's minds right now and play the card "if there was a god he wouldn't let good people die". We are not gods or God therefore our wisdom/knowledge has a limit where as God has eternal wisdom and knowledge along with everlasting love.

Such beautiful sentiments, well done. I was thinking of Peter at the footy last night and how he had impacted our lives. He will have gone out on his terms, in his own time surrounded by his family.

I didn't even know his name was Peter till I read this. I am sad though. What I did know was that he had a big heart and that he touched a lot of people with his ability to put others first. Condolences to those who knew him and RIP Dropbear.

Can that be added to our sigs?
Yep sure can ... as per above.

I made it last night, but decided against it in my signature, and instead changed by custom title and made a smaller signature tribute instead.

I wish to pay my respect to "Drop Bear". He seemed like a genuine fair and kind man from what I seen of him here. My thoughts and best wishes go to his family and loved ones. I hope you have found peace and are in a better place.

Much love Peter. Rest well brother.

Beautiful song

You were fighting everyday
So hard to hide the pain
I know you never said goodbye
I had so much left to say

One last song
Given to an Angel's Son
As soon as you were gone
As soon as you were gone

On another note, between us here (and associates), the Gremmos, and a few ex Rugby League players I know, maybe we can all form together and really make this Organ Donatin Round happen.

Even if it's the Organ Donation Cup between Parra and the Bulldogs each year (although that may alread be Bandage Bear Cup)..
They usually play 2 games, so one is free

@south of heaven @Sir Col "THE MU @ASSASSIN @dogluva

Just made this up in 10 minutes.

ODE TO DROP BEAR

When you joined us in July 15,
I didnt know how to feel.
An imposter on the forum,
a dirty slimey eel.

But this Drop Bear was different,
not here to cause a scene.
But take two rival forums,
and build bridges in between.

Your kind and caring nature,
distanced you far from a troll.
And you cared more for another,
despite your own health toll.

And never once a warning,
appeared upon your file.
We knew behind that screen though,
you would always crack a smile.

As you always would remind us,
of the Eels Dog aftermath.
And in exchange we'd offer up,
a nice Castle sponge bath.

You fought the fight for so long,
but sadly in the end.
You left us not a member,
but a truly treasured friend.

Your legacy in history,
on the forum White and Blue,
This poem as a tribute,
Pete, we will all greatly miss you.

Peter would approve as do I. Great work Mr I and you summed it up perfectly. A truly fitting ode for a truly special man.

I've been debating whether to post this..but I decided it was just too beautiful not too.. Its from The Lord of the Rings..by Tolkien..and deals with that ultimate question..what happens when you die..? The scene occurs at the latter part of the story where two characters (Gandalf and Pippin) find themselves in dire circumstances and the question of mortality comes up..

Pippin:I didn't think it would end this way.

Gandalf: End? No, the journey doesn't end here. Death is just another path, one that we all must take. The grey rain-curtain of this world rolls back, and all turns to silver glass, and then you see it.

Pippin: What? Gandalf? See what?

Gandalf: White shores, and beyond, a far green country under a swift sunrise.

Pippin: Well, that isn't so bad.

Gandalf: No. No, it isn't.

Enjoy the sunrise DB..you've earnt it..
