Our biggest issue is size. Yes we can wear teams down with our fitness, but if you look at say Brisbane, they can create opportunities simply through their big boys opening space, either by drawing in more defenders, or breaking tackles.. we don't have that luxury in the middle, and we often end up attacking a set line.
Well...we do have size, but currently we're not using it ...whether that be from injury (fitness) or non-selection.
Sitili's return will in some part alleviate that.
DSF was going well.
Sammy needs a few more gallops to hit peak fitness.
Same with Jack Todd.
Max is back - that helps.

Our attack has been shyte for over a decade and our last top class HB was Noddy in his twilight years. Our wins over the last 2 years has been based on fitness, defence and waiting for errors from the opposition. There is too much dependence on Critta andr Kiraz beating several defenders for a line break.

Everyone saying we had an easy draw, check out the Raiders and storms run, not too much difference.

Everyone is parroting the "Galvin pushed out Sexton and Mahoney" agenda but what if the reason we signed Galvin is because they both on their way out already?

Or is that too logical for the brain dead imbeciles in the media?

Not like there wasn't some pretty big clues out there, like we hadn't already signed sexton and gave permission for Mahoney to look around after last season when his camp asked if they could

Signed a kid with potential to cover one of the players leaving.

Both Sexton and Reeds contract talks started in the preseason.

Not arguing that Sexy and Reed talks started early. But lets take names out of it.

If we win a ring this year - you ever heard of someone letting the starting 7 and 9 walk to another club after the GF? Or we not thinking we can win a ring?

IMO I really don't think even the staff knew we would be going as good as we are this year. Im thinking it was always 2026.

2024 was to improve our defence
2025 was to improve our attack
2026 we have a proper crack at the ring

Could be way off, could be spot on. I know both Gus and CC are playing the long game.

PS im convinced we didnt want LG this year but Moses came with a "now or never" deal.

You can only play who’s in front of you. We’ve lost 2 games with a full strength side, one of them by 2 point to the Panthers where we were the better side and played for the 80mins. We will be top for and peaking come finals time.

I'm just saying I reckon this is damn simple.

Sexy was pushing to resign and they couldn't agree. Was that a maybe if the deal is right or a solid no from the Dogs. Reckon if the Reed thing is the believed, if he was always a solid no from the beginning of the year surely they'd have said something and he could look around for 2026 as well. He's in the window and its legit. But all the talk was its in discussion so seems to me it was never a no. So Galvin did push him out. Club decided on Galvin and Sexy decided take the best offer. This all seems very logical to me.

Reed had nothing to do with Galvin. Clear for a while he was looking for 'a last big deal' as was quoted by Gus and his manager earlier this year. Found that deal elsewhere. Fair enough. Been a good servant.

Agree about Moses. Dudes a turd.

Well there was a rumour that we offered Sexton 400k but he wanted 500k and Gus said all the best with another club.

Sexton and Mahoney on the outer talk was way before Galvin came...the only way we stop the noise is to win plain and simple. One in all in. If anyone is disgruntled, they can go take a hike.

Remember 95 when the Big 4 up and left. Chris Anderson flipped his shit but united the team harmony. We won the comp.

Hopefully we can emulate this attitude.

Lots of rumours my man. Reckon if you know the facts you're not putting it down here - gets in the way of the spurting. :tearsofjoy:
