I don't get why some people are upset with this signing. Gus is surely planning for the future. He's just upgrading the roster so I have full faith in what he's doing. We're not privy to the game of chess he's playing with the roster/cap but he knows what he's doing

We're finally going to have a forward pack we can be proud of again...compared to the pussies we've had to deal with for the last few years. This forward pack will be able to intimidate and bully opposition packs into submission....and now we finally have the class and speed in the backline to take full advantage of their dominance.

Verdict
These are decent stats, even for Kikau who i think had a relatively quiet 2021 compared to what he can acheive. However we would be expecting more from him for 800K a year. Playing 27 games is solid; means he can be relied upon. His minutes played and tackles are fine for an impact edge forward, its the tackle breaks and offloads that we would want to see improved. He's such a big and destructive runner, realistically he should be doubling those stats.

He legitimately has the potential to be the best forward in history. He and Crichton are the best backrowers in the NRL. Angus was better last year but not the year before. And Kikau is vey young. Huge signing. We now have a forward/player we can just throw the ball to and pray. We’re back!

Panthers used Kikau as a decoy. You give him the ball and he's very dangerous. He's going to create more space for others just with his presence.

People want a gun 9 or 7 signing. Before that happens they’d want to know they have the pack and outside backs to match it with the best. We are at that stage now where if a big name 7 or 9 was to hit the market they’d 100 percent be interested in our squad.

This guy speaking the most sense on there. A lot of them backflipping with their opinions of Kikau (understandable, every fan base does it). I think it was very likely they were losing Kikau with their tight salary cap so it shouldn't be too much of a surprise for them, the biggest surprise is he's coming here.
