They'll do that with the money leftover from not upgrading Leo for this year. Hope you're right FWIW but Leo's on unders there this year and that's insignificant money.
 
Good mids have been few and far between. I remember looking at the good mids that actually changed clubs in the last couple of years and really theres only been Flegler, and Lenui last year. In 2025 so far theres been AFB, Utoikamanu, Fisher-Harris and maybe Terrel May who really has not established himself. So really only 3 top mids that changed clubs.

Others like Daniel Saifiti and Campbell Gillard are on the decline and only have a couple of years before retirement.

So like halves they can command decent money as everyone is chasing them. So I don't mind if we paid big money. Though it seems Thompson was valued even higher than we paid with Raiders offering 900K a season. Maybe we paid 750K which is ok considering the cap increases and lack of decent mids available.

Its seems Thompson has bought into the Bulldogs culture and thats the most important factor. I don't think players like May would have been as supportive.

he's on massive unders for this year, Knight gain very little letting him go - they're already light in the middle. AOB under pressure for results.

Whoever performs gets a spot, age is irrelevant

Don't write Mann off yet, might be one of those players who shines in his latter years
