Played well enough to win the year he joined.

Not according to Wikipedia, he joined the Bulldogs in 2002, we won the comp in 2004. Roosters won the competition thrashing the Warriors the year he joined us in 2002.

I'll stand corrected but I believe 2002 was the year we lost all our points for salary cap breaches as Wiki shows we got the wooden spoon that year and came back 2 years later to win the comp.

That's steep. Imagine what Faders were offering though if $825K is less money?!
Yeah its a bit steep but that's what had to be paid to get him to move... That's a lot of money for him, but he hasn't hit his prime yet so...

But i'd rather spend 825k a year on Leo than 600k we have paid sutton the last 3 years

Women I lure to my domicile are often surprised that my trouser snake isn't 11 inches long as advertised by my doppelganger, but instead is somewhere between 3 and 8 inches (the latter side being dependent on forced perspective).

But this brings me to the point of saying that the size of contracts in the media is ultimately a guess. I know Thompson was highly discussed once the supposedly bugger fish forward signings were done. But $825k may not be close to the mark. Clubs don't go waving the contract value around like I don't wave around my 3 inch penis. I mean my 8 inch penis. For legal reasons buth penises and contract values are kept covered up.

Take that $825k valuation as an uneducated guess.

These guys have no idea haha, just a guess. Theres no way we paid 825.
He's worth 500-600k and May who's a better player just went for 650k. 825k is massive overs imo. It's a big risk if true. He'll have to be a top prop week in and out and reach his potential fast on that money.

1 bad mistake doesn't mean you make another or be the bench mark for the replacement. May going for 650k is the benchmark in this scenario. I hope Thompson becomes one of the best middles in the competition but he isn't there yet and on that money he has to be.
