I was on Amazon yesterday and bought an item. On the delivery options it said guaranteed delivery tomorrow to a residential house. So I took up that option.
As Amazon is in South Melbourne and I am in Sydney I thought geez they back themselves.
I checked the item at 1pm and it still says preparing for shipping. So in a few hours they claim to ship it from their warehouse, presumably fly it on an airplane and then sort it at airport and then have it couriered to my place. The guarantee is before 8pm.
Geez all the moon's need to align for that to happen.
I thought I'd open a live chat with them to question if they are going to deliver. They maintained they are on track for delivery tonight even though it had not been shipped yet.
I told them it's near impossible for them to ship it, get it on a plane, sort at the airport then have it driven out to my place tonight. They maintained they would get it done.
All for $12.75 extra?
Are the amazon systems that great? If this was a game of golf they basically need 4 holes in one in the last four course holes to snatch the win.
Who's banking on Amazon and who's with blue boost calling their bluff
