Mann, Hayward, Salmon.

Not keen on these 3 all being in the 17.
I know they all have different strengths and skillsets - but they are all utilised as alternative distributors.
Surely 2 can fill this role.

Which one would you leave out? (I know who I would).

But, CC will probably have all 3.

Possible Bench : Hayward, Sitili, Curran & Salmon.

Just feel this compromises our size and power running ability.

Options ? : Amone, Hayes, Todd, Fifita, Morrin.
Anybody missed?

Trials are gonna be very interesting...

DSF and Sutton.

DSF having a very good pre season and pushing for a bench spot. Sutton finally looking fit, should be making a comeback in the early rounds.

Both would be a welcome addition to the bench in regards to size, particularly Sutton. His professionalism and experience would be amazing if he gets fit firing off the bench.

Salmon
Curran
Satili
Sutton/DSF

Really strong bench.

His going to have a spot so can’t really comment much. Second he stepped in for the Melbourne game I liked his persona, remained calm and has ever since.

Weak bench imo.

Not at all...

Salmon - 81 NRL games
Curran - 85
Satili - 106
Sutton - 88

Versatile bunch of professionals. Here to win a GF, not entertain me bro.
Salmon is utter trash, rubbish. Sutton and DSF are plodders.

Can’t wait for the trials - it will be great to see who emerges and takes their opportunity.
In particular really looking forward to see how Luke Smith performs after his pre-season efforts - a possible chance to earn a 2025 debut!

Pretty sure the team is locked in already bar the last bench spot and I can name a fair few who will get their debut's before Smitty.

Still a baby but AJ Jones, If he gets his butter fingers sorted, we got a ripper.

Kid has potential. But with curran, morrin, mann and salmon I think he is too much of the same. We can probably only have 2 of the 5 maybe 3. And if fit Curran and Mann are first picked.

He has more utility value than Morrin and Salmon. But what could count against him is the Jack of all trades master of none type of thing. Little bit weaker in defence. More of a half/hooker then a back rower/lock.

Will feature at some stage in year. Hes line speed is unreal, sprints iff line for first contact

Really strong bench.

I would love DSF and Sutton to push for spots in the team.
That can only make us stronger!!
Hope they maintain/improve their fitness and enthusiasm - cos we still need one more big (FIT) body.
Even with Zyon and Tom Amone available (neither of them are that big)

Just thinking aloud ...

NRL Team NSW Cup Team
1. Connor Tracey Blake Taaffe
2. Jacob Kiraz Jonathon Sua
3. Bronson Xerri Enari Tuala
4. Stephen Crichton Danny Gabrael
5. Blake Wilson Marcello Montoya
6. Matt Burton Cassius Tia
7. Toby Sexton Joseph O'Neill
8. Max King Daniel Suluka-Fifita
9. Reed Mahoney Jake Turpin
10. Sam Hughes Jack Underhill
11. Villiame Kikau Harry Hayes
12. Jacob Preston Kurtis Morrin
13. Kurt Mann Jack Todd

14. Bailey Hayward Drew Hutchison
15. Sitili Toupounia Zyon Maiu'u
16. Josh Curran Lipoi Hopoi
17. Jaemon Salmon Ryan Sutton

18. Tom Amone Damon Marshall
19. Luke Smith

Please note :
Woods, Alatini, Spinks - play Flegg for a while (not sure if AJ Jones is still Flegg eligible?)
Rueben Moyle (9) too old for Flegg .... but ready to sub with Turpin. Same for Pat Young.

KO - guessing the Zyon signing, combined with him living back home at Redcliffe means he's not gonna be a Dog anymore.

That's our top 30, plus our development players & train & trial guys accounted for (I think??)

PS : This platform is the pits!!!

I typed two neat columns

One for NRL

One for Cup

And look at the dogs breakfast that is presented to the Kennelers

Fuck that!!

Now that big unit is here I say bench Hayward or salmon and bring in brute strength it’s going to be an interesting bench and really Wilson do deserve his spot he would be getting the shits if he doesn’t.

See the good thing about Wilson he has been with us a while he knows how to score he is quick he has a step unlike the JAC who treds on the side line and I would say 40% off the time he did not score unlike Wilson scores at every point if the defender is coming close running he steps back inside and plants the ball down closer to the try line!!!

Montoya and Tuala I just think Wilson can be more effective as he can be a backup for Tracey aswell I know that isn’t his natural position but Connor does need someone who can run and make metres!!!

Hayward I think he go to NSW cup tbh well That’s my observation anyway!!!

Ouch - butter fingers is a bad critique.
He looks an insane athlete
