Seibold is the Adam Gase of the NRL. How does he keep getting jobs despite being rubbish?
If he fails at this you would think he's done, that one good year at south's is the hope he's holding on to

You’re probably right there. It would be similar to Jason Taylor who initially had one good year at Parra and then was a disaster in his next two jobs

Not so sure....
For Hasler to have secured another year, he had to see Manly overtake Roosters for that 6th spot. Roosters finished with a wet sail. Manly may have made the top 8 but without Turbo were on a hiding to nothing.

I don't think Des had a strong enough case, especially with the poor record without Tommy. Manly will pay him out the 450k for next year or might even claim Des was not a "team" player and is sacked on grounds that he is unwilling to work with other employees.
Hasler's case is strong, he had them well in the 8 until Penn farked up and allowed the Pride fiasco.

That might be true in other spheres of activity, but not in football, or sports administration in general. Warren Ryan (IMO the best coach that ever drew breath) was sacked, or left in less than congenial circumstances, from Canterbury, Balmain, and Newcastle. Closer to home, Raelene Castle was booted from the Dogs and Australian Rugby (although both sackings were presented as "mutual decisions"), before sliding into another cushy job in Sports, New Zealand.

Somebody will take Des, and, if they can make him stick to coaching and keep him away from recruitment or the salary cap, they might even get a result out of him.
Don't forget Greenturd the slimy little penis, he landed a job after his diabolical handling of the NRL. The current horse racing slob has kept the tradition going.

Jason Taylor was a funny situation
Brian smith left parra mid 2006 and he stepped up as an interim coach and somehow saved parras season and got them to the finals
He had already signed with souths as an assistant coach but then souths sacked shaun macrae so went in as head coach and got souths to their first finals series in a long time then he just went down hill from there and nevet recovered

But no matter what anyone says about him he had the balls to drop farah whether anyone agrees with that or not and that is what caused his career to die

I wonder what the percentage of people who all too frequently parrot that stupid saying while living in caravans would be....
Nah, Just ask the people of Sri Lanka, they will tell you.

When he was sacked from the Dogs, he was somehow given a job at the NRL. Go figure.

It’s interesting that it’s playing out in front of the media again with Des, it’s as if he is a major leak

I don't agree with how they are spinning it as Des lost his job over the jersey scandal. You don't sack a coach because a handful of players won't wear a jersey. He didn't tell them not to wear it. To me obviously there was a lot more wrong than that.

Locking the owners out of the dressing sheds will sort of guarantee you're on your way out the door lol
Too many non-footy people in positions of power in our game, that is when it started turning to shit in all aspects IMO.

His major downfall was his speech after the jersey saga. He apologised on behalf of the club for the great “intent” but the “poor execution”. Scott Penn would have come up with the jersey idea. The nitwit has already stated it would be back next year.

Do they have to pay this prick out again? He’s been rewarded once for failing .

Absolutely. Its groundhog day lol. Hes suing the club for a payout like he did to us. Not surprising. TBH like it was for us, it will be worth paying him out to get rid of him.
