Who else thinks Hasler could use the interchange better?
How dare you question Des! Lol

I have been saying that all last year too, what's the point of saving a player for the last 10 mins?

if he going to stick with that, at least pick she-rex for the last ten mins...

Congrats to Dene and his family. His partner gave birth to their second child.

Top guy and gives it his all on the field. Hope we see him getting more minutes as the weeks progress.

He spent half a game in the dogbox with me last year. Dene is a really really good bloke.

Congrats to him on the birth of little Payton.

Denes a great player and rock solid in defence. Also one of a few players in our regular 17 who are genuine utilities.

That being said, hes not exactly the youngest player in the squad. And with the feeder club and holden cup producing so many quality forwards for us, id have to see this is likely his last year with us.

Dene is very solid and plays his heart out, nothing but 100% when he is out there - you know what your going to get when he is on the field but with all these young guys coming through.....

We lost the GF with Dene out of the side. Along with Stagg, one of our most under-rated players. Also a top bloke off the field.
Couldn't agree more, we need him in this side and has to be used longer than 10 mins. Should play at least 40 mins.
IN 2012 Dene Halatau was playing top football in both attack and defence and was in the run on side.

So what has he done this year that has relegated him to limited minutes off the bench? IMO he's done nothing wrong but for some reason he has to play second fiddle to T-Rex's price tag... which is barely getting a sweat up on the field.

His line running is impeccable. Hasnt been the same since his injury (probably due to lack of game time).
Has to cover the centres when Brown was getting patched up.

Congrats to him and his wife, who is very pretty. Rochelle Halatau.

Everyone dribbles about the big Kas and Graham being our halfbacks but I clearly remember Dene and Stagg setting up almost as many line breaks as them.

Dene was on the end of many. He knows how to run a good line, and at pace.

Has plenty of experience, we could use his gritty defence this week.

dene halatau is they type of player who is never going to grab headlines, but is the type of player who can read attack, and be ready in defence.
and can be part of the attacking play with a decent offload , or can make a break and off load. hes a very cool calm player who does a bit of talking on the field with the younger players a bloke like him fits into most teams

Gotta love dene-o for the effort he contributes and ability and experience he brings off the bench, even though the guy is 30, he still has a lot to offer a team. Shame we signed Williams, seeing we have a wealth of junior mobile ball-playing back rowers coming through the ranks

Surely Halatau must get more minutes a game than he is. He is one of the only guys in our side that knows how to run a good line to keep the defence on their toes.

Needs more game time with out a doubt, proved his worth in an instance last night.

Runs a very good line and knows how to make a clean break..

Remember he was our starting 2nd rower until mid-way through last year before he got injured. and then after he was 18th man for us even during the finals.

It seems he has fallen out of favour for a strange reason with Des..

I dont know what des wants out of thr team but dene deserves more game time than trex

I would rather get morrin out of retirement to replace trex

I only hope we can offer him a good enough deal to stay another couple of years. All good attributes in his game with a lot to offer the team. Unfortunately only extra game will show just how valuable he is to us. His expereince and mentoring ability is pricelss ..not to mention the superb bloke he is off the field in serving the community. All the boys do a great job but this is at another level when it comes to helping others.
