Demerit Point Clarification

Hey guys, just got my licence back as of today. Still on my green P's, and I am wondering how many points I have now. I accrued 7 demerit points and had a 3 month suspension. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

You don't get points you accrue them, so you have ZERO demerit points against your license when you get it back from suspension.

Check them online / on Service NSW App for free.

Best to check online as far as I recall it's a couple years to get that point back after losing it

If the license is supended I'm pretty sure the points reset to 0. At least that's what it was many moons ago when I lost it for 6 months.

However, if you've lost it instantly for speeding and already had points against it, not sure how that works with the new rules.

Just check them on the RMS website (it's free), as they stay on a license for 3 years (and about 3 months).
