One of the state’s top NRL players has been questioned by police over staggering reports he was seen trespassing at a Gold Coast property early this morning.
The Titans’ star signing, 20-year-old David Fifita, was picked up by Gold Coast police this morning after reports he was trespassing at a Clear Island Waters property about 8am.

According to a Queensland Police Service spokesman, Fifita was taken to the Broadbeach police station where he was questioned by officers.

He was later released without charge, however, investigations are continuing.
It comes as Fifita, who had prior to this year played for the Brisbane Broncos, accepted a deal worth over $3 million when he signed with Titans in July.
“It’s a great signing for the club,” Titans head of culture Mal Meninga said at the time.

The young NRL star debuted for the Broncos in 2018 and has since become one of the Titan’s biggest ever signings.

Fifita has previously represented Queensland in the State of Origin and made appearances for Australia and the Prime Minister’s XIII.

Titans, NRL star David Fifita gets police caution over Gold Coast trespassing incident

Top Queensland NRL player David Fifita has been issued an adult police caution by investigators after reports he was caught trespassing at a Gold Coast property early Sunday morning.

The 20-year-old Gold Coast Titans’ player was given a stern talking to after Broadbeach police took him in for questioning over the incident at about 8am Sunday.

The Courier-Mail understands Fifita stumbled into the wrong room at the right address during the early morning mix-up, prompting a man at the property to call triple-0.

It’s understood Fifita had been drinking prior to the incident and had accidentally gone to the wrong room at the right address.
He was yesterday issued with the adult police caution, which means no conviction will be recorded nor will Fifita be fined over the incident.
The NRL on Sunday said the incident had been referred to the NRL Integrity Unit.

Fifita, who debuted for the Broncos in 2018, in July become one of the Titans’ biggest ever signings after he accepted a deal worth over $3 million over the entirety of the three-year contract.

Fifita had previously spent three days behind bars in a Bali prison after he was accused of allegedly assaulting a security guard outside a Seminyak nightclub in 2019.

With the help of the Broncos, he was able to reach “a peace agreement” with the La Favela nightclub bouncer.
It was reported at the time no money exchanged hands as part of the peace agreement, and Fifita had issued the security guard with an apology, which he later accepted.

That should be on the person who invited him to the house more than him?

Whilst its not exactly the crime if the century, you would feel a bit intimidated by a drunk/high massive unit rocking up to your home in the morning when you weren't expecting it.
