Lomax won over Kiraz purely down to Origin surely. Well improved yes, best winger Kiraz was in a different league from most he season. Not a stats based person but he could’ve won prop of the year he was that vital for yardage.

Hold up so Bellamy gets coach of the year over Ciro... How does this happen ? By this logic Ivan should have received it in previous seasons for finishing first and dominating.

They won the MP and we didn’t even win a final. We had to at least win a final (probably 2 realistically) for CC to beat Bellamy. Bellamy didn’t even have Munster most of the year, loses a glut for Origin and won the MP with 4 rounds to go. Easy decision
This is all true, but how does Ivan not receive it in previous seasons when Cleary was out for alot of games also and they still finished 1st.

cleary should have got it in 2022, that was a shocker. Last year was a putrid decision giving it to a warriors coach when no side other than the top 2 sides were any good. If they went Walters or Cleary last year no one would have complained

Bellamy and Cleary best two noms by a mile.

Bellamy has been up there for 20 years he’s maintained such a high standard at Melbourne and they’ve been top 4 after the big 3 left. He’s another level.

Cleary has taken a team to 5 successive grand finals he loses players every year and he’s still got them to the big dance 5 years in a row. He turned Penrith around and it’s hard to make one grand final to make 5 is absolutely exceptional.

Ciraldo had a good year no doubt so did Webster last year and Payten year before both flopped year after. Ciraldo needed to go better than week 1 finals Webster and Payten went to week 3.

Coach of the Year isn't done on points.

We still finished 6th and knocked out week one.

We were never going to win both captain and coach unless we finished top 4.

yep weirdly wouldn’t have been surprised if Yeo won the captain of the year as well but Crighton was a worthy winner there. Just don’t get many rewards outside the top 4

So, if the storm get pumped by 60 in the GF they’re going to take it of Bellamy and give it to Cleary?
