I find it poor journalism they don’t mention TPA’s and some players contracts are potentially front loaded… it’s clearly obvious they’re looking to offload a few that aren’t giving us bang for our dollar - all teams do this - the media will troll us on it.

Irrespective of the conjecture over the actual salary figures - is it some concern that our top 5 earners are all forwards and outside backs? Do/did any of the most successful clubs over the past decade have their roster structured this way?

Look at it this way. We got burton on 500k and Mahoney on 600k. Both top notch spine players on unders allows us to spend more on rest of the squad. We don’t have any marquee signings on over a mill a year. I’ve said it on here before you should spend most your cap on 15 or 16 players and we are tracking that way. Squad is looking very good for 22 and 23
