We don't want Scott, the guy is a lunatic... he is on the outer at Canberra after getting into a punch up with a team mate.

Kid will never learn.

No..not Raiders. I cannot find a real centre in the team. There either to slow and poor defence (or both).
The vacant centre position is a real crisis for the dogs.
Yeah man hopefully we can lock someone down for next year. I dont wanna be relying on Lafai for 2021

He is still on charges for attacking a police officer at Moore Park in the off season.

Sh!t we do not need as a club.

New court date for Scott after police refuse to cover legal fees
Curtis Scott's legal case will return to court in July after a deal with police to drop five serious charges fell through.

The Raiders young gun's legal team had reached an agreement with NSW Police to plead guilty to two of the non-serious charges in exchange for the other five to be dropped, but the deal came unstuck when police were asked to pay for his legal fees.

NRL Star Curtis Scott arrest on Australia Day
The Herald has obtained footage of NRL star Curtis Scott's Australia Day weekend arrest as his lawyer argues the incident could have proven fatal for the Raiders recruit.

Scott's case will go in for mention on July 13 in Sydney Downing Centre Local Court. It will then go to a hearing date, which could be set as late as September or October due to coronavirus-related delays.

If the case goes to a hearing, Scott plans to add Murugan Thangaraj, SC, to his legal team.

Thangaraj defended Wests Tigers player Russell Packer, who was handed a two-year jail sentence in 2014 for assault during a booze-fuelled night. He also represented former Eels star Semi Radradra after he was charged with domestic violence against a former partner. The charges were dropped in 2017.

Scott's lawyer Sam Macedone still believes NSW Police will likely drop the case before the hearing date.

Scott was allegedly pepper-sprayed, Tasered and handcuffed after falling asleep under a tree at Moore Park after a drunken night out with friends at the Ivy nightclub.

Police allege Scott threw a mobile phone at a passing car in Paddington before assaulting two police officers on the Australia Day Weekend.

Police were allegedly called to the scene by a security guard at the SCG.

'We're looking at a fight': Scott case set to go to hearing
Scott is prepared to plead guilty to behaving offensively in public and trespass but only if the more serious charges of assault and resisting police are dropped.

The new court date comes after Scott was benched from the Raiders' starting side by coach Ricky Stuart.

The 22-year-old has struggled for form at centre and was relegated to the bench.

"It's unfortunate for Curtis at the moment but he's just out of a little form," Stuart said. "He's had a lot of pressure put on in him, a lot of pressure and criticism publicly and I just wanted to take a little bit of the heat off him."

It's amazing what a little bit of good news will do for our standards as fans. A few months back I'm sure that people would have been keen to get him into our roster.

If he's gotten into a fight with a teammate he's a moron. Every time he messes up it detracts from his earning potential. Only clubs that are desperate for talent will take on players that offer recurring risk of disciplinary indiscretions. And if he's not even able to keep himself leashed among teammates, he's a good chance of getting into serious trouble that ends his career.

Out-of-favour Raiders recruit Curtis Scott linked with shock move to NRL rival
RAIDERS

Curtis Scott has fallen out of favour at the RaidersSource: Instagram
They’ve secured Nick Cotric’s services for next season, but the Bulldogs are already plotting a move for another Raiders outside back.

After appointing Trent Barrett as coach and tying Cotric down to a three-year deal, Canterbury are looking to push ahead with their recruitment drive.

While their forward pack has been reliable and workmanlike, it’s out wide that the Bulldogs have come up short.

Lacking punch and panache, the Dogs could turn to an out of favour Raider to further bolster their backline.

As revealed on Triple M by The Australian’s Brent Read, Curtis Scott is potentially on the Bulldogs radar. Signed from Melbourne in the off season, Scott has failed to fill the void left by Joey Leilua.

And what’s more, they - and a number of NRL rivals - would be able to get him at a bargain price.

“Obviously Corey Harawira-Naera is going to Canberra (from the Bulldogs) they’ve got some back-rowers there now and it looks like Ricky Stuart has a decision to make with John Bateman back in a week’s time,” Read said. “Elliott Whitehead plays on the other side of the field, and I think he’ll want to play Corey opposite him.

“I think he’ll want to play John Bateman as a centre. Now if that’s the case, Curtis Scott is on the outer at the moment, that pushes him on the outer even further.

“Canberra are pretty active in the player market at the moment, there’s going to be some signings beyond Harawira-Naera as I understand it. And it might be that Curtis Scott seeks greener pastures.

Canberra's Curtis Scott makes a runSource: Supplied
“Melbourne are paying a lot of his salary this year, they’re paying a lot of it next year, he’s got another year after that in Canberra. he’s a pretty attractive proposition with Melbourne chipping in a bit and if Canberra chip in as well suddenly you can get Curtis Scott for next to nothing. It’s one of those watch this space ones.

“Curtis hasn't really settled in in Canberra, it hasn't really worked.”

Scott hasn’t started a game for the Raiders since a disastrous display against the Parramatta Eels.

He played off the bench against the Dragons but has since been struck down by an infection to a cut in his arm.

The centre was in the headlines for all the wrong reasons after an Australia Day incident.

His lawyer, Sam Macedone, said the case hanging over his head had resulted in a downturn in form.

“It is weighing on his mind, absolutely, and I think it is affecting his performances,” Macedone said. “You’ll see that he hasn’t really got a start the last two games and it’s because his form has dropped off.

“He’s gone from a top centre to someone who looks like he’s got the world of worries on his shoulders. He is just busy trying to get his form back.

“He’s wanting this thing to go away and to get finished one way or the other - however, he doesn’t want to end up paying a bloody fortune for something he says he is really not guilty of.”

This move should have been part of a negotiation for CHN at the "minimum". I still don't understand though why we couldn't stipulate a move to the Dragons only with a swap for McInnes. We could have refused any move.

He is trouble. Unless we only pay 25% of his contract over the next seasons. Fuk it

If his form is so bad why would we want him, but reading that story Melbourne and Raiders are both chipping in some of his salary. But he seems to have a bad attitude, I am not convinced he is what we need. Just glad we dodged a bullet with the King of all tossers BJ Leilua

Id rather take Gildart tbh both are pretty similar players, but ones a trouble making fuckwit and the other isn't. Defensively he has been poor but I believe he's better suited to left centre not right, also keep in mind he's only 22 still time to rectify his issue if he really wants to improve

If we sign this guy we can rule out getting Dylan Walker though lol. I'd probably prefer Walker at left centre over him tbh

And even then he wouldn’t be guaranteed a centre spot. He’d be behind cotric and hoppa in my books.

maybe on a minimum contract and on the wing. And punted the first time he farts. We had our chance to sign him in the off season and passed. Not sure why we’d look at him now with all the crap around him.
