I recall a match where end of the day one wicket needed and the decent batsman farming the strike. He knocks it into space at the end of an over and they jog one. The fielder charges after the ball as it slows down and as he reaches down for it kicks it clean over the rope 15 metres away.

It didn't work, the Umps gave 5 runs.

its unbelievable really. could have gotten big money at the beginning of the series on Boland playing let alone doing this.

Just said to the missus they needed a wicket in the Cummins over. Didn't get it so I think the poms will last. Believe they can play to 7 so if they really need to jam in some overs, could bowl another spinner from the other end.

Great finish. Kudos to the Poms for having the ticker to hang on. I wonder if Starc’s no-ball wicket late yesterday would’ve had an impact ie: rattled the Poms earlier. What’s done is done, cricket is the winner. Hopefully Hobart is just as good to finish the series.

That was what test cricket is all about, and why I fucking love it. Except for maybe the result as I would LOVE it to be 4-0 against the to and froms, but what a fantastic 5 days of cricket.
