Craig Bellamy makes call on NRL coaching future with Melbourne

A number of media outlets have reported Bellamy has agreed to a new deal in the southern capital, with the club likely to make it official on Sunday.

The Daily Telegraph has reported the deal is three years and worth about $1 million per season.

It puts to bed weeks of speculation linking Bellamy to a move back to Brisbane where he would have replaced fellow supercoach Wayne Bennett.

Bennett appears set to remain as head coach of the Broncos in 2019 as per his contract.

I am actually excited to see if Smith and Slater retire cause then we can see how Bellamy will work his team without them. I think its obvious Bellamy might struggle if Smith and Slater go but I think he is a good enough coach to get the Storm to the finals each year without his big guns. Wish we had the **** as our coach.
