it's because the NRL love slurping the Storm. Ivan only got coach of the year once out of the last 5 years, and that was in 2020. Ciraldo took a team from bottom of the ladder to finals for the first time in 6-7 yrs without any superstars in the spine and had best defence for much of the season. Bellyache has a 4million dollar spine.
Exactly right and that was my point. I dont know Webster won it too! He already had the squad gifted to him with minor changes.

Ciraldo literally got rid of nobodies and built this team from the floor up. He doesn’t get the credit he deserves. I hope he fuckin wins a premiership as a coach

I suspect that he holds a premiership win in much higher regard than coach of the year.

Let the nrl keep on sucking off the storm and roosters and sharks who have no supporter base and couldn’t fill up a 5k stadium :p

If you want longevity of the comp your want a strong dogs team. I remember Gus said it 10 years ago. If you want a strong nrl you want a strong bulldogs. Never a truer word spoken. 6 wins in a row and virtually sell out a 80k stadium with 90% of the fans. Imagine Souths got 20k fans there too. Wouldn’t be an empty seat to be seen. That’s after getting 50k to our semi last year.

Where are those clowns that were mocking Ciraldo’s “connection” theme and pre season training activities? This has got the team united and working for each other. If that’s not egg on your face I don’t know what is

Even up here in FNQ I am seeing more and more dogs jerseys everywhere I go , They’re coming out of the woodwork now

Can anyone remember the last time we went into a game where the result, win lose or draw was going to have zero impact on our season?
Good Times.

First Half against tie broncs was pretty disappointing but I am looking forward too the bounce back against the Des and the tits
I jist wonder if he had a game plan that was different or did the boys just take matters in their hands?

2md half was more Dogs like though, which is kind of a silver lining.

Nah I just think we had three or four players that went completely off the reservation and it just went down hill from there , everything went the Gronks way in the first half everything stuck from kicks to passes in shit conditions and our discipline was shit, we won’t play another 40 mins like that again this year I am confident of that.

I'm hoping that the boys learn to control themselves next time the shit hits the fan.

First time we didn't score first, first time we were losing, first time away from Sydney. Hope our boys are quick learners.
