Crispy is obviously best. But the occasional soggy chip is good especially if it has absorbed all the lovely juices of the steak.

Usually soggy chips are due to crap takeaway. Like if you get fish and chips and wrap it tight. That stews the chips and turns them soggy. Real fish and chip shops leave the bag open to let the steam breath.

Best chips ???? Kfc, oporto, red rooster???? Local fish and chips??
We can so many polls on chips...

Shoestring v thick cut v steak cut v crinkle cut.

PS I can't pick in between extra crispy shoestring or extra crispy crinkle cut.

The proper chip shops rip a hole in the bag

Crispy, but i don't mind them soggy and soaked in gravy on occasions..
Fair call good gravy on occasion goes alright, someone else mentioned eating them still wrapped in the butcher paper, they aren't real soggy but sort of steamed and their good like that on a cold day.

The simple chicken snitty and chips in said gravy used to be choice idk if the leagues club does them but Bankstown Sports club used too, simple tasty and necessary before or during a mammoth pissup.

Old fashioned wrapped bag of chips with salt and heaps of vinegar.

A bucket of crinkle cut chips covered in Tom sauce at the footy or ECCA.

Loaded chips with bacon and cheese at Lone Star Steak House and Saloon

Crispy chips and potato scallops from the CO Op at San Remo Phillip Island or any good Greek run Greasy Joes.

No chicken salt = FAIL!

I used to take ham sandwiches (White bread and margarine) to work, at lunch I would get chips with gravy over them. Put some of those in the sandwich. It was great. You guys should try it.
