Which talented NRL centre has been nicknamed 'The Statue' by bemused teammates?

Sadly, it's not because he resembles Cam Smith or Wally Lewis - it's because he appears to spend much of the 80 minutes barely moving.

Here's a clue as to his identity - his team has yet to win a game.

You cant even call him a turnstile at this point as a turnstile requires to be touched for it to spin.....i dont think Hoppa is even getting a hand on opponents as they run past & around him this season!!
I have been a long time supporter of Hoppa but his time is well & truly past. We would be better served by having one of the young guys there even if the result is the same he will be learning & getting better for upcoming seasons(hopefully). Hoppa's time is sadly past...

I was thinking Hoppa, but Hammer from the Cowboys stats are terrible also.
Hoppa 3 games: 46 runs for 370M, 0 line breaks, 0 tries, 54 tackles, 12 misses.
Hammer 3 games: 19 runs for 167M, 2 line breaks, 1 try, 28 tackles, 3 misses.

Newcastle were successful from the mid 90's to mid 00's when Joey, Buderus, Kennedy, Gidley, Tahu etc were there. They won the ARL in 97 and beat Parra in 2001.

Plus they've been much better than us the last several seasons. Our last dominant period was the 80's through to 2004. Since then we've been just another club.

Someone in the know posted that Dean Pay handed a derogatory nick name to a player, even worse it was someone he signed. The joint needs a real ass kicker to get some of these guys into line, the culture of the place has been fucked for years.
