For those playing at home:

Toa Mata'afa is a former Tigers U20 outside back who's been playing for Souths in the Newcastle comp and a couple games in NSW Cup for the Knights.

Jesse Marschke is a former grand final winning half from Roosters U20 system who spent last year at Newtown in NSW cup. Word for word for his twin brother Ben who spent majority of last season with Glebe-Burwood in RMC.

James Roumanos is a development squad player who won grandfinals with Cronulla in SG Ball and Flegg in consecutive seasons. Australian schoolboy.

Austin Dias is a massive unit we picked up mid season last year from Parra U20. Has made the move up from Flegg.

Connelly Lemuelu, Tony Matautia, Matt Mundine and Tyrone Faulkner not picked. Elie El-Zakhem, Kayne Kalache, Dalton Smith also not selected.

Top post Mitch.... some of that I didn't fully know :grinning:

Solid Dogs side and that's with:
Mason Cerruto, Brandon Wakeham, Fa'amanu Brown and Zac Saddler missing through injury.
Nick Meaney and Chris Smith due to drop back into the side.
Jarred Anderson - not sure where he is at (still with club).

I'd expect:
Chris Smith > replacing > Bronson Garlick > replacing > Jesse Martin / Sam Radovu
Nick Meaney > replacing > Toa Mata'afa

Should be a cracker of a game.

Anderson is still with us. He's just not very good.

Is Ben Marschke any good? What style of hooker is he?

In all honesty I'd prefer Anderson. The bloke puts in and seems to be okay (in a Brett Lane / Mitch Brown / Jono Wright kinda way).

3 games for Jets last year, but Blayke Brailey was holding him back.

His brother Jesse was a similar issue with DADDIES BOY Kyle Flanagan holding Jesse out of NSW Cup side.

Not sure either will get a run in NSW Cup much once everyones back. Mainly bought for cover because they are young.

Bronson Garlick, Nu Brown and JMK (and maybe even Lichaa), can play in the #9. Brown, JMK or Lichaa likely to remain in NRL the entire year.
Wakeham and Cogger are the starting Canterbury Cup halves when fit (with Nu Brown possibly as well).

Because NSW Cup play before the NRL this week I wouldn’t expect Smith or Meaney to play. They’ll most likely warm up with the NRL side and be on standby in case of injury

So To’omaga is either injured, or playing first grade? Or he’s been banished for a shit off season... which is unlikely...

Edit: I think he needs to be in the extended bench For first grade for a chance to play

The team list releases are missing heaps of players because of the dumb way the sites are formatted. Cup, RMC and Shield are all the same.

I'm not expecting much from this team this year a lot of the depth has been taken out of the squad. We will struggle to play finals.

Fully fit the lineup is decent and not much different from last year.

Backline probably even better when you add Meaney.

Cleeland and Frawley were overrated.. Cogger and Wakeham / Brown are better options.

The depth is very weak after losing Burr and Fine.

Woolford, Cleeland and Frawley weren't overrated at all they were very good reserve grade players that won us plenty of games.

You keep whinging about Wakeham's only reserve grade game and now he is all of a sudden a better option?
