Hit the nail on the head. Barrett called their effort “Courageous” against the Knights. On another planet.
I said this in another thread, this is solely on the coach, you can’t reward mediocrity at a press conference for all to see. It breeds low standards - we played last placed Knights with three of their key men missing Brailey, Clifford and Gagai, scored one measly try, let in 3, looked totally gassed 20mins into the 2nd half and we’re “courageous”.

As coach, you get on that soap box and you passionately rip that performance apart as not meeting expectations, first and foremost, followed up by outlining there’s a few players that need to seriously reevaluate if they are up to NRL standard football…concluding that it’s an Embarrassment for the men that once wore that jersey with pride and built the foundations of this proud club.

Flanno is a no, he should be dropped.
Kiraz looked good at centre so keep him there.

Picking almonti at centre over kiraz is ridiculous almonti still developing in reggies and kiraz is way above his as a centre and proved it in his debut

Alomoti is all hype at this stage and he should be given as much time as is needed to showcase what potential he is living off in reserve grade. Also, he is a tortoise and would get run down by Gus if he managed to make a break.

When’s the last time we developed a big tough prop? Klemmer was a big name coming through. Other than that I can’t think of any major development in the forward ranks for a long time. Jacko and Finucane were massive. We seem to have a lot of exciting backs, for whatever reason just haven’t gone to next level.

Kasiano and Klemmer were the two that can to mind but that’s a while back

It’s a concern. I don’t live in area, so don’t follow junior league out there. Surely there’s some big boys coming through, we could develop
