I highly doubt that any amount of images posted affects the site. Maybe your own internet connection is a bit slow.
As far as issues with the site goes. Since the update I am not able to use any of the tool links over the top of the reply window. Assuming the screenshot I took posts for me, it shows that they're greyed out.
