Was this known ages ago? He really should have been a walk up start for Maoris over Nikora. But maybe they removed him behind scenes ?

What a crock of shit gets a slap on the wrist.

Embattled Canberra Raiders second rower Corey Harawira-Naera was too cheap to pay for an Uber home, so got behind the wheel after necking 17 drinks at a Christmas booze-up, a court has heard.

He told police he had 10 beers and six or seven shots at Assembly nightclub, court documents say.

Harawira-Naera, 25, faced the ACT Magistrates Court on Thursday where he apologised for letting down his club, his fans and his family, three months after he blew 0.12 at 4.30am on Christmas Day.

Police disqualified Harawira-Naera from driving immediately, and Mr Lawton imposed the minimum three month disqualification, meaning Harawira-Naera can now get back behind the wheel.

Mr Lawton also convicted and fined him $250.

“There’s a lot of lectures that I could give you,” Mr Lawton said.

Outside court, a contrite Harawira-Naera said apologised for “poor judgment on my behalf”.

That's how it goes in the United Socialist Suburbs of Canberra. It's pathetic!

The judge asked that he also sign his raiders jersey and allow him to take selfies before he left the courthouse.

The judge also issued a warrant for the arrest of the bartender who quite possibly might have been a former employee of the Canterbury leagues club. And impound the cop car for it's blue and white color scheme. There has to be a connection where this trail leads back to the bulldogs club.
