I wouldn’t be stunned if Hook instilled confidence back in Hunt and got him back playing halfback and keeping McInnes at 9.
You need an elite hooker to win the comp. roosters put the blame on Flannigan but I think DH let them down more than anything.

Soufs, Dragons, keeps getting pushed out of his position for that non give a fuck put body on the line over paid fuck Hunt. Why wouldn’t he want to be appreciated at a club like the dogs? Spend the rest of your career at the dogs and feel appreciated.

He is the type of bloke that would rather remain captain and get battered at lock every week then jump ship, I would love to have him at the dogs but cant see him leaving unless he gets pushed.

If the dogs can't find anyone for 2020 in the NRL I would get James Roby for at least a year and find someone to develop under him or even go for Clarke..

IMO this bloke epitomises the character, toughness, work ethic and never say die attitude that we are accustomed to when thinking about what we want in our bulldogs.
He is a leader, has captain qualities, has great vision, running qualities, seems to be in the right place at the right time and is a tackling machine who rarely misses tackles. Breaks tackles, runs the ball, has an off load in him. 80 min player who at 26 years of age is mature, seasoned, experienced and in his prime with many years left in him.
He has also shown versatility as he can play lock and wouldn’t be surprised if he could cover a half position as well if needed.
This guy has his head screwed on and always gives 100% be it at training or in a game.
Off contract after 21.
Im off Grant and B Smith. I’d be going after Cameron McInnes.
Couldn't agree more he gives his all and some won't let his team mates down

If we have Averillo, JAC, Cotric, Flanagan and Burton who are all attacking threats, then I think McInnes is a great buy and would give good balance to the side.

Go hard TBZ!

McInness would help toughen us up but would cost the kitchen sink. Otherwise we need to get a specialist dummy half coach like Lee Malkoun or Mick Ennis to work with JMK.

Roby has been a great player for years but if he didn't come out when he was in his prime after dominating against Australia several times, then why would he come out now in his mid 30's?

It's a shame he didn't come over, as he was my favourite English player aside from Graham for years, but I don't see it happening. I'd gladly take Clark but this might be his last chance to come over and there's been no indication he will either. Hopefully the Thompson signing leads to more ESL purchases as there's plenty of talent over there.

I take your point he is older now but he’s still playing great footy and he could really bring on our younger hookers and this would be his very last chance to come out here would also love to see them get warmsley makenson and Charnley give them Napa zelezniak and Hopoate as sweetners

I watched Robey play the other week he still plays like he's 21 he's at the class of Cameron Smith. I would sign him in a heart beat!
