As the Evil Empires News Ltd and channel 9 resume their evil war against our club,
We should as supporters stand up to them and show what Canterbury Bankstown Bulldogs are about.
We should show SOLIDARITY by purchasing memberships and merchandise of our club and convince friends and relatives to do the same.
We should NEVER allow those scumbags destroy our club !!!

Number 1 Journos wont destroy our club

Number 2 The onus is on our club to be a bit more smarter, journos are always around, everyone has a camera phone, everyone knew prying eyes would be around on Mad Monday.. not ensuring a completely PRIVATE function was the clubs fault and most of the blame should lie with them , not the players & not the cameramen

Actually I just looked up the relevant legislation, and if Elliott goes to police, News Ltd photographers, editors and the reporter are all in seriously deep shit and facing criminal charges.

The new revenge porn laws cover Elliott in this instance in that he is allowed to have "reasonable privacy", and that was expected.

The taking and publishing of such photos breaches such laws.

Not sure on that because what he did was in public.. if it was in private in a bedroom, toilet etc different story.. but in a pub drunk full of mates stripping I doubt the police will see Elliot as the victim..

But im no legal eagle myself

I half agree with you
1 The journos work for the organization that once were hellbent on destroy us out or relocate us !
2 I agree that the club should have taken better care, but going to the extreme to illegally take photos is a No No,
The responsible people should be sued !!!

I understand it was in a private room on the third floor of the pub, that makes a big difference.

Depends. I think it was private hired out venue on level 3, so the photos needed to be taken from a high vantage point (which needed to be planned) and probably with a super zoom lens. The funny thing is that out of this i have warmed to Elliot!! lol.. I was not a fan at all of him as a player, but his play towards the end of the year and this Newscorp targeting of him has changed my mind! He is a player I can fully support. On another note, Bulldogs are always targeted by the media! Fans realize this. Hopefully the playing group understands this and responds well to this through a siege mentality. Bulldogs vs the world!! Bring on 2019

100% it was on the 3rd level, it was private and had security as well.

You cannot see the balcony from ground level and could only be seen if you are a dirty perve or work for the media.

Have they said how the photos were taken?
Is there a building infront of that pub?

We have nothing to prove to the media. Even fans of other clubs think it is being blown out of proportion, and can see its much ado over nothing. Greenturd the puppet will probably come out and beat his fists against his chest a few times, and fine us. Cant wait for his school principal speech.

None of us know the full details of how this all came about. However what the hell were players thinking wandering around stark naked in the first place. Private function or not they should be aware that someone is going to tip off the media and blow the whole thing up so why oh why even think about wandering around naked and inviting the press to make a meal out of it. Footballers, like most most people in the public eye, should be aware and have the brains to realise that they will always be under the spotlight. Even more for the dogs where it is well known the press are always using them for a witch hunt. Irrespective of who is wrong or right on this issue do not under any circumstances walk around holding a lighted flame and not expect to be blamed for starting a fire. These are grown men for goodness sake so act like one for a change do they have to have nannies to watch their every moves. I rest my case.

Listen snowflake, it was a private function and if it wasn't for a scumbag journo spying, it would of stayed private. 2 players did a dumb, drunken thing, in private.

Do you really think if the players knew there was a spying pervert media scumbag they would of done what they did?

Have a concrete milkshake, ffs.

You see assassin it is people like you that give the club a bad name. I have followed the bulldogs longer than you have been around so don't
start throwing crap at me or anyone else for looking at the whole thing in perspective. You obviously do not have the mental capacity to realise that private function or not one step out of line and the whole thing comes to the medias attention . No I am not a wowser but look at the good examples in sports like Roger Federer. They know how to behave in private or otherwise. All this issue has done is create further dissemination of rugby league. The players act in public or in private in a civilised manner they won't give the media any excuse for cannon fodder. I reiterate irrespective of the circumstances and the venue why would meat head players wish to prance around naked anyway. The dogs never had any of these dramas years ago when they all played for the club and worked other jobs in the week. Too much money now and too much time on their hands spells danger for any young guy and its no good them blaming dugs or alcohol for their actions. Today everyone wants to blame something else or someone else for their actions. It is a simple none of them want to take responsibility for their own stupidity today.
