Homer versus New York is the best episode.

Vendor "You want Morning Dew or Grab Juice?"
Homer "OH GOD, BLUUURRRR, yuck, I'll take Grab Juice"

Once it started to get political that was the start of the death spiral.

"OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo...."

Jack hammering the tire lock off and that final scene "We'll see Lisa, we'll see..." nearly had a stroke laughing so hard.

About time.
Simpsons started going downhill with the episode where they ruined principle skinners character.
I agree but some people/critics really rated that episode and praised the writing and storyline. I think that episode was in the 9th season which I said in the other thread, was a belter of a season with many of my all time fav episodes. This could be the first episode I genuinely did not like at all. It was a terrible waste of Martin Sheen's talents

That is one of my favs too. When Homer is trying to drive his car away with the wheel-clamps on cracks me up every time.

I reckon the Simpsons started losing wind after the who shot Mr Burns episode.
As most have stated the show kicked on 20 years passed its use by date.

I suppose the movie opened the door to a whole new generation?

I would of watched the Simpsons movie on big screen if it was made in the 90's.

I think they waited a bit too long to release the movie?

The movie wasn't bad.
Love the story between Homer and the pig and the way they took the piss out of Arnold Schwarzenegger.

"I get paid to lead...not read".

About an hour after Danny Elfman said this, the show runners came out saying that it's not even remotely true and they plan to run for many more seasons.

I had no idea he’d published books!
Yeah, I've read the first 3. Definitely Simpsons humour, but very out there. If you look at the episodes he wrote, it's just ridiculous how many are considered classics. One of my friends fav episodes is 'Homer's Enemy', the one with Frank Grimes, or Grimey as he liked to be called :grinning:

You guys are disgusting. The creators and writers of the Simpsons are being extremely brave writing out racism from earlier decades of the show, standing up to the establishment and intolerant people who protest violently when they hear something they don’t like. I mean are you guys that intimidated by 8 year old Lisa Simpson? Pppftttttt get with the times it’s the 21st century.
