Also William Kennedy (Jets fullback) was injured during the game this week, and Sharks will have extended players named for Sharks NRL plays Friday night (Gallen may not play)... so players could back up for NSW Cup.

We can't afford to fuck around with this one. Get Smith and Lewis in.

Has it been said why Smith and Lewis didn't play in the prelim? Commentators mentioned it but didn't have a reason as to why they weren't playing

NSW & QLD Cup Grand Finals. Both games on Sunday with a 3:10pm kickoff.

Canterbury Bulldogs vs Newton Jets

Redcliffe Dolphins vs Easts Tigers

Winners face off on NRL GF day to crown the Australian champs at that level.
Mate I am excited. To see the looks on the boys faces yesterday; it was feckin' priceless. They have worked hard to get to the GF and I implore that those who can get there on Sunday please go and support them. Heaven's knows our club has been dragged from pillar to post and they are the remaining shining light of our season.

Newtown is the feeder club for the Sharks and they will have support there because their Flegg side is playing the same day. Let's show the boys that we have their backs and that we are still proud to support the club.

Will be there for sure.

Just hope we do some extra work on our defense this week. We let in some soft try's and almost let the game go at the end which never should have happened.

The Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs can confirm Matt Frawley will miss the Intrust Super Premiership grand final against the Newtown Jets this Sunday due to injury.

Frawley left the field midway through the first half of the Bulldogs preliminary final win with a foot injury and scans today have confirmed the 23-year old has suffered a fracture to his third metatarsal, ruling him out of Sunday's match.

Meanwhile, Lachlan Burr missed last weekend's victory over the St George Illawarra Dragons due to an injury to his hand that he suffered at work.

Burr required surgery to his hand last week and will visit a specialist early this week for a post-operative review.

The visit to the specialist will also confirm his availability to play in the grand final.

The club can also confirm Asipeli Fine had surgery last week after he suffered a dislocated hip and fractured pelvis during the club's semi-final win over the Wyong Roos, while Clay Priest has had surgery to repair several significant knee ligaments and cartilage following a complex knee injury in the Bulldogs round 25 Intrust Super Premiership match against the Wentworthville Magpies.

Mate if Lachie Burr plays this week ( and believe me he is dead set serious about wanting to) it will be a miracle. Did significant damage to his hand due to a drop saw incident ( he is a chippie) and required a skin graft. He was so restless on the bench and you could see that he was so disappointed not to be out there.

Now I had a skin graft after an accident where I lost half of the left big toe and I was bed ridden for two weeks as blood flow to the area can cause the graft to float off. Need to keep it elevated and decrease the blood flow. Maybe, just maybe a week might be a stretch but he is one super brave guy if he does play....of course the surgeon/ Dr will have the final say.

I would love it if he played as he has been steady this year and creates a lot of go forward off the bench. I wish him well and I have my fingers crossed that he is fit enough but it would be a tremendous risk.

We are so lucky that we have a few options in relation to replacing Frawley and will likely do the swap of Brown to half, Woolford to hooker and we have Bronson Garlick on the bench. We are under strength for this one with possibly three ( Frawley, Fine definitely ) and Burr out.

Did they make any comment on the broadcast about the St Merge trainer who ran across in front of our kicker when he was lining up conversions ( happened twice and nearly a third time except he went behind and then to the goal line). Don't know if you heard it but we were very vocal in relation to it, even the bench applauded us.

I know it is only ISP and it would have been better if first grade had made the finals but I am just so excited that at least we might snag a premiership in 2018, even ISP.

Brown doesn't seem fit enough to last a grand final tbh, and I can't see Wakeham getting a call up so It'll be interesting to see how it goes.
Actually Wakeham might get called up never know
