Ive been fortunate in my lifetime our club has never been 'down' and out of finals contention for long ..

since following from around 1992 (strong from 93-99), 2000 was the first real season we went very poor but we bounced back quick with good recruitment and 2001-2007 was a strong period

2008 was a disaster and things looked grim but off the back of signing Ennis Kimmorley Hannant Jmoz Stagg Eastwood (all in 1 season) things improved out of sight & we were unlucky not to have a minor premiership in 2009

2010-2011 was poor & off the back of a new coach we had another solid run 2012-2016 with 2GFs

Our current poor run 2017 & 2018 is now looking like a bigger mess than what weve experienced in our past 25years, with a rookie coach, new board , young team & no players of note recruited yet..

Weve been fortunate till now but the club now have a big responsibility to ensure this situation doesnt drag out .. the way things are looking it has the potential to continue for a while..

Good management & good decisions all round from the board to the coach can change our fortunes , its a crucial time, but the situation we are in now as serious as we have faced in a longtime as it can drag on for more than just a few seasons

The success of 2012 to 2016 really masked the underlying problem. Recruitment and player development, dessies weakness. Poor board management, and thinking about revenue made them think making the 8 was success. I'm happy with the change, it look this board 5 months to take action, dib did sweet FA in 5yrs. Short term pain, long term gain.

Not just a board issue.. our roster is weak and we have a rookie coach that needs to be able to attract players.. big job ahead from top to bottom

Took 5 years from 96-2001 for us to become an elite side again. Its been 6 years now since our last good season in 2012.

It’s a 10 year cycle now with a smaller premiership window of 3 seasons. It used to be shorter cycle a larger premiership window.

93-95 window
2000 decline
2002-2004 window
2005-2007 decline
2008 rock bottom

2012-2014 window
2015-2017 decline
2018 rockbottom

If we can create a window within 4 years from now it would be a massive achievement. I cannot see us digging ourselves out.
