I didn’t get to watch too much CC this year, but Brown? Really?

Been heaps of guys in and out of the side this year he’s been the most consistent player.

It's pretty bizarre that he was their best player in CCup but they still released him without another club signing him.
If he had no where else to go why didn't he just stay but not in top 30?

What’s the point in keeping him? If he’s not in the plans for NRL he’s just a roadblock for junior talent coming through. There’s a few players in CCup that are hopefully moved on for that reason.

They still need to stay competitive in CCup, I am not sure that they have anyone ready to replace him.
Probably end up with the Marsche brothers in the halves permanently lol

Genuinely surprised DWZ didn't make POTY.
His arrival changed the attitude of the players around him and we started winning.
It was the point our season changed.

Absolutely a big turning point but it would have been pretty gutting to the guys who did put in the effort for the full year plus pre-season rather than 10 games.
Taking nothing away from his contribution which was invaluable of course but it just wouldnt be fair.

So it's better to reward mediocre performance?

Sure, there was mediocrity on display this year, but was there not a single player who gave their all for us for more than 10 games?
I think so.
