I think Montoya will get first crack this despite Wilson being outstanding last year when used. I was one of the few who backed Wilson over Skelton before Skelton signed elsewhere and supported Gould/Ciraldo for selecting Wilson ahead of Skelton.

He's not being paid "to play 1st grade as Fox replacement".
If he does happen to play a few NRL games then we nailed a bargain.

Tia looks impressive in preseason social media posts by the club.. seems to feature a bit... and he looks bigger... I really like the look of him.. he's a gun.. in the coming years IF all our halves "pop" i.e: Woods, Tia, O'Neill and Conti, Burto will have to switch positions...
 
I agree Tia has all the talent to be a star. However O" Neill just doesn't have it. I have watched alot of his footy over the past 2 years and is just a run of the mill player.

Yeah possibly but O'Neill is someone who could be a solid NRL half.. has a very good kicking game just doesn't have elite speed but is a smart footy player..

Yup and and Monty will keep the spot too, he has been amazing and matured after his stint at the warriors. What I like is he wants to be here, that’s when a player will repay the faith and the chance given.

I didn’t used to think a lot of Montoya when he was with us, thought he was junk, but we got him now. He is strong and quick . and will be one of our top try scorers this year, or if not, a very consistent one at that. Will get lots of hate… but I’m excited about this one.

Give it time, if you didn’t see his potential at the warriors then your blind. He’s a good signing, and remember .. I used to rip into him on my posts when he was with us, was happy which he left.. but his time away has really been positive. Again happy to be proven wrong :p But he plays for the blue a white again and has my full support.!! Good for the team, good for the supporters,

I think he had a good stint at Warrior and his physicality and aggression could be useful, hopefully don't see too many donkey moments from him.
 
Let’s not judge let’s see how Montoya goes in the trails if he has the aggression he has at the wahs well then it ain’t a bad thing

You can’t have potential when you’re going to be 30 years old next year.
