Yes it would, Lewis' defence is MASSIVELY overrated. Just because he's a good fronton tackler doesn't mean he's a good defender. He would probably defend better in the middle than on an edge but in no way is he close to an elite defender like some of you are trying to make out. Refer to stats below.

Blaming coaching on Lewis is rubbish, his skillset has been shit through the grades and it isn't going to magically sort itself out in the NRL with a head coach that has a 29% (or whatever it is) win rate LOL.

The only player I have seen make consistently worse reads in defence is Jake Clifford

You have to fight it imo. Use McGuire examples as getting off. Say he was behind him trying to regather for a tackle and came into contact with his eye with no intention to gouge... I think 2-4 weeks would be fair for a first offence

Matt burton will join us in 2022.
Averillo and burton the future halves.
Charlie Staines will be the bulldogs long term fullback.

However, they are just boys. We all know about promoting boys who are not ready for NRL. We tried that.
All the promise they have shown is because of another players effort.
They are still learning and wont be at their top for probably 3 years.
We need established NRL quality players, not boys.
