Official Bulldogs Football Board Election Update

In regard to Sunday’s Football Club Board Election, I write to confirm that Anthony Elias and Peter McMahon have advised that they have withdrawn as candidates.
As such the current list of nominees is:

Adrian Turner

Lynne Anderson *

John Ballesty *

Peter Mortimer * +

Joseph Thomas *

Nicholas Dimas

Paul Dunn *

John Khoury *

* denotes current Director of the Club
+ denotes Life Member of the Club
Voting at the Annual General Meeting will begin at 8:00 am next to the Paragon Room at the Canterbury League Club. Voting will close at 10:00 am.
Prior to voting, all Members must register at the AGM Registration counter located at the Paragon Room Foyer.
We ask that Members have a form of ID ready; once registered, voting members will be directed towards the voting area to receive their ballot paper and complete their vote.

They probably realised they wouldn’t get the numbers to get on the board and pulled the plug early.

Yeah Elias stood down in 2017 and McMahon was voted out in the last election.

I think that's precisely why they've withdrawn - they could sense the mood that the membership is still backing the current board and the membership also don't want factions as the work continues to get us back to the top.

I’ve now come to that realisation, and I will also agree here. As lol as whom ever is running the club, has the best intentions for it and are all about the bulldogs an our success moving forward.... and do a a good job, then that’s all the matters. I’m with you..!!

Whilst I’ve always been interested in the business I never gave it as much thought as I do today until we were placed in this crater by an irresponsible management team - which has adversely affected all of us because our normally successful team has struggled because of them.

So yes, I now do care who’s running the club. Less the individuals but definitely the calibre of the individuals - because I never want to see my team - OUR team in this position again.
