In case you didn't know or just pretending you don't, I will repeat what I know about how your club does it...
Every year they hold an invitation only fans night that includes some very rich friends of you know who,
During the night those rich friends directly and individually pledge support to different players.
For the club it's a case of see no evil hear no evil, after all they didn't get involved they didn't negotiate and of course it's only a fans night...Try and prove otherwise.
I've always believed...Where there is a will there's a way !
Wow, I had no idea our rorting was so obvious yet so undetectable by the NRL, the integrity unit, the media, suspicious officials of all other clubs and their fans. I'm wondering why you haven't brought this remarkably effective process to the attention of your club?

As I said, no club should get an advantage so as an official Rooster fan I hereby give you and your club permission to use our ingenious and highly secretive rorting process. Best of luck.

Commentators often joked about the sombrero, clubs know about it but no one can prove it.
As I said...See no evil hear no evil !
Taking the piss is showing the typical RORTERS arrogance !!!

And if there was a full and complete audit of all contracts, tax records and TPA's on all NRL players and the Roosters were found to be not rorting the system, it would convince no one.
It can't be audited if the deals in question are cash or 'non-affiliated' 3rd party agreements.

The NRL already unsuccessfully tried this PR exercise through an article on all clubs TPAs but it only included registered TPAs and not UNTPAs.

I’m so glad that we landed our junior reed mahoney over Brandon smith.
The way Brandon has carried himself during negotiations has been appalling to say the least.
Our club has been through the mud with off field incidents we don’t need any more rubbish from players damaging the hard work of the new board.
Go Dogs from spooners to premiers .
You might be right I reckon

Fake after football jobs are another way of rorting the cap...
I knew someone that managed a club in the CBD who happens to be good friend of a famous five eight, we were having a football and cap discussions after that player had retired.
He said...
After ###### retired I was having a game of golf with him I said to him you could have played on,
He replied...Why play on when I can earn 600k a season for 2 seasons teaching 15 year olds how to kick a ball ?

Storm are looking to offload Smith for a middle forward. If we are thinking of off loading Thompson we could do much worse than a swap with Smith.

Just curious if people actually listened to the podcast as opposed to just listening to what the media have reported?
The quote regarding winning a premiership in a roosters jersey was taken completely out of context, he described been taken for a tour by Mitch Aubusson who then spoke passionately about the roosters jersey and what it meant to him and the history and Smith merely said something along the lines of "makes you want to win a premiership in that jersey".
He didn't say anything disrespectful about the storm only that they have alot of piss ups but he said it in a context of how tight knit the team is.

I'd hate to have the same reputation as the Rorters.....

Tigers turning down a swap for 1 year doesn't help him at all

I did and while I agree it has been taken out of context, other things he said and pointed towards which hes been in the media recently for is something that the Storm don't want to deal any more. Storm being a small community has helped hide everything he does, Uncle Nick will keep it under media control, at a club like the Dogs he will bring more negative attention that we don't need.

This attitude really pisses me off;

“It was fresh in the Tigers' minds that Smith had made it clear to the joint-venture club several weeks ago that he didn't want to speak, indicating that he wanted to join a top-four team.”

Top 4 huh, the Wabbits have Cook so no chance of him going there, he’s leaving Melbourne so they’re out, Penrith have Korosau who is now going to the Tuggers in 2023 and Penrith couldn’t afford him anyway. From last year’s top 4 that leaves Manly with Croker and Fainu who is trapped in the who said what stabbing incident. The Chooks were 5th last year so, added to his language issues, plainly BSmith can’t count either.

Leaving aside the counting problem, it would seem that any club not mentioned above was wasting their time even talking to BSmith, his arrogance would never let him go there anyway. Especially the Dolphins who didn’t finish anywhere last year, let alone top 4. Could also have been the reason why we didn’t really display much official interest.

Always a Bulldog

Rather develop Cook or JMK than get narcissist Brandon for a year. (I am sure Gus will get someone in for specialised training for these guys if he feels they aren't progressing to FG standard).

Geez imagine the interviews he will give to DT bagging us and how he is just marking time till he can start with Polightarse, and not just on the phone or after Dogs training for French lessons with Robbo lol

I want to win football games and it’s not like he’s a mass murderer FFS. If he becomes available for a year and we are in a financial position to sign him or on loan get some offended granny supporter to wash his mouth out with soap for saying those vulgar words and lets play footy

If Gus arranges it, it's fine by me lol

But I'm with Bazildog on this one.

We don't want someone else's gold digger for one year.

Hard to say but maybe it was just a throw away line or a nicer way to say 'there's no way I would consider joining the Tigers'.

So if no one can prove this is how we rort the system but the other clubs know about it, why haven't they all adopted this same ingenious process? Seems self defeating if you ask me.
