There's no doubt Bulldogs fans are one of the most fanatic supporters in any sporting code in Australia. We have proven that with crowd figures week in week out and it's unheard of in the modern game that over 50,000 fans is now the norm at each game. We are loud and proud!!!
But let's talk about the elephant in the room. The Belmore celebrations after a win. Right now you're thinking this guy is going to put shit on the celebrations. Actually, no i'm not. I love it!! It brings all us fans together as one and if I'm not there at one I'll see it online and love seeing thousands of my brothers, sisters and all kids having a great time. All other clubs want to put shit on us thinking we are celebrating too early like we've won the premiership. But simply, it's about having a good time after a win? Life is tough as it is for some people and families and this great club provides us with moments that allows us to forget about the stresses in our lives not to mention the life long memories we all will cherish. Most club fan bases, while they won't admit it, would love to celebrate like we do.
Now this is where I want to raise an idea purely for the safety of the fans and to ensure these celebrations are ongoing. Like most of us, we want to ensure no one is hurt. The burnouts of cars while it ads to the theatre, it will only take one car to lose control and we all know how that could end up.
Here are some options.
1. Just stop doing burnouts. I doubt that will happen though.
2. Why not request for the street to close for an hour or so after the game? Only cars already parked if needed can go out but none coming in.
3. Open to your ideas???
This post is purely to ensure the safety of our fans, there are kids there close by on the street. Any normal person would understand what i am requesting. I am NOT knocking them or against them. I want to see the celebrations continue, we are the best at it so if we can get productive now because we know as finals get closer the celebrations get bigger, we can show everyone else we can celebrate hard with no incidences or concerns for anyone's safety.
