How long are we going to hear about cap dramas for. It's getting tiresome, the end of the Dib Era, the Anderson era and now under Gus we've had cap issues. Barrett has signed some players which have really wasted cap space too. If we had a great squad I'd be fine but we're far from a guaranteed top 8 side.
When he mentions our "disastrous cap situation", its all blown out of proportion. Every single team has to use the entirety of their cap allowance, so to suggest our situation is disastrous because we have signed JAC, Burton, TPJ, Vaughan, and Dufty is just a complete load of shit!

We need a 7 or 6 if Burton plays 7.
Elliot, Flanagan can go.
Allan so far, isn’t delivering.

And 650k for Cotric is way too much.
Won’t be surprised If he gets shopped.

More people rate him than don't, I argue with them all the time haha. He's a very good athlete but probably one of the dumbest players in the game, then when fatigue kicks in he gets even dumber. He's a bench player at best and really shouldn't be playing many minutes at all.

You really need to take of the Hetherington hate glasses, they are distorting your vision.

Always a Bulldog

I doubt it’s actually true also it’s not a “disastrous salary cap mess” it’s using the cap for next year on 29 of 30 players with new talent coming

All that salary cap shit is bullshit. I dont believe it for a second.

Cyrus is gonna be a weapon. Dragons are lucky to have him. He comes from a good family too.
Will probably have the same hereditary knee injuries that wrecked Chase and Kyles careers too then?

Would you sack Elliot for Asiata? Is that even an upgrade?

John has fallen away a little bit lately. Only getting modest game time if at all, for a modest/below modest return.

I think we got a great steal with Vaughan who is an enforcer/pack leader. Bringing in Asiata (who is a bench forward) is an ok signing for a small contract. But anything near mid level and you are better off developing a younger player.

Ava, Thompson (assuming he isn’t being shopped around), Vaughan, hetherington, TPJ. That is a decent middle forward pack. We do lack some depth in regards to injury or suspension. Funnily enough a Ryan James type would do well as a clubman. I doubt he will bitch and moan if he gets a smaller role in the 17.
Im thinking more value. Asiata dosent have a club to go to whereas Elliot is being paid top dollar. Also Asiata has versitility.

our caps not a mess ;) club is trying to get players cheap and not allowing agents any wriggle room for us to pay overs by knowing we have cap space.

Burton & JAC and even Gus signings wouldve played a huge part in landing Vaughan,TPJ,Dufty and Naden.

CONFIRMED DEPARTING PLAYERS

The Bulldogs can also confirm that the following off-contract players will be leaving the club at the end of this season:

Dylan Napa, Will Hopoate, Lachlan Lewis, Nick Meaney, Renouf Atoni, Sione Katoa, Dean Britt, Chris Smith, James Roumanos, Brad Deitz, Watson Heleta and Kiko Manu.

What about Ogden? Critchon? Ain’t they going also. You can also add Elliot to that list no chance he is staying
