Seen a few posts unfortunately linking us to Cartwright... has split from his partner and is living back in Sydney. He has links with Baz, Ferris, etc so that's where the connection is coming from. He also offers us cover @ 5/8 if Burton doesn't come across this season.

Anyone else seen/heard similar? Got scared after reading it and had to post here.

I thought he had already signed with a Sydney club.

This should put an end to the Dylan Walker rumour. Even if he is cleared and is not de-registered by the NRL, I dont think the club would want him with all that baggage

Ok let me change that to Josh Schuster. He’s just as good a prospect as Burton who is also younger and would probably be cheaper too

The NRL has been doing its due diligence on Cartwright's exit from the Gold Coast, with the former Panthers backrower walking away from a $600,000 deal with the Titans for a $130,000 deal with the Eels.

There is no suggestion of any wrongdoing, however given the significant salary sacrifice, the NRL wants to make sure everything is above board before the Eels announce his deal.
