Wasn’t he in the bulldogs junioir development squad at one stage?
Think we were an option and there were discussions but apparently his dad was not happy with us and steered him towards the Sharks. He grew up in Menai so easily could have gone either way.

He was a quality player, even from high school days he was the best of the Aquinas trio of Fanagan, JBrailey and Xerri. He did the crime, he has done his time, the only question is does he still have the will to play at the highest level without the roids. If it's not us with his mate Flanagan then it will be the Knoughts with his mate JBrailey, we would be crazy not to consider him.

If our backline is still struggling at the time he can return, I'd offer him a train and trial contract.

The guy went from looking like a marathon runner to a jacked bodybuilder! Imagine if he kept a bit of his speed that would be deadly

Agree he was the pick of the bunch at the Colts mind you Brailey wasn’t too far behind.
James never hit his straps for us unfortunately.

Sure Bronson Xerri is young enough to get the opportunity to play NRL and have no doubt will get picked up as a redemption story by someone like the Roosters or the Storm and media will be singing his praises.

A drug cheat linked to our club will simply allow the media a barrage of attack on the clubs management, questioning our culture and recruitment

He was in the Sharks system playing Matt’s early, then went to the Dogs for 1 or 2 years and then back to Sharks. I think his brother was also involved somehow and complicated matters. He did play his junior football at Aquinas with Flanagan and Brailey.

I'd give a contract he's better than what we have.

I dont give a rats arse what the media would say about us if we signed him and nobody should, its about winning a premiership and he is a big strong good centre better than all of what we have, sign him up.
