Oh, and just how much it means to share with his parents who have probably put in countless hours to support him.

To get to this level, you need to be super obsessed with your chosen skill, and as a result, your parents will be living and breathing it with you. They take you to training, but your gear, put up with you endlessly talking about footy. Good on all of them.

Many moons ago I was heading to an island in the Yasawas in North West Fiji... I'd never travelled in a small plane (8 seater Cessna Caravan) before and whilst at domestic terminal got the leg shakes badly.

Seats were bench seating and this backpacker nearby was like "excuse me can you stop that it's rather annoying". I just replied back "well if you know how to stop anxiety attacks you're better than me, because I'm verging on having one, hence the leg shaking".

She got up and moved seats.

Loved the plane trip in the end

Yes exactly you can't help when anxiety hits you. I get bouts of it over things I probably shouldn't get it over but unfortunately it's just the way I am. Luckily my anxiety only plays up occasionally but in saying that when I do have it it sends me right off. Sometimes I just have to hide from the world that day until it passes. Also if I drink too much alcohol it can give me bad anxiety the next day, though it can even hit the same night. Also I get anxiety over the unknown, like if I am going to an interview or am trying something new. It's stupid how many things can set me off but I've been dealing with it most of my life so it's somewhat normal to me.
