I'd take Bird at $275k over Milford at $400k every day.
Nothing to lose for us on a 1 year deal also.I'd take Bird at $275k over Milford at $400k every day.
Thats a bitter pill to swallow for the Groncs, I love it.
They will use most of the money to upgrade contracts and keep their youngsters.I don't believe it, paying 700k to get a player of the books and leaving yourself with 275k to replace him.
Yuck. I wouldnt take him for $300k.Milford at 400k for a year would be a steal.
Payne haas wants a 470k pay increaseI think this is complete bullshit. If they pay 700k for Bird to leave, that frees up 275k but they also have to pay another player to fill his squad spot, which is 105k minimum.
So they'd save 170k in cap space on Bird and they'd free up 300k for Milford... I highly doubt they're going to pay $1.3 million to have all of that dead cap space just so they can free up 470k to use or best case, they have 600k to spend on two players..
Sure would, and Milford can add that theft to his long list of stealing wages. The fact the Donkeys are willing to pay for more than half his wage to get rid of him should tell you how much he is worth.Milford at 400k for a year would be a steal.
And if a club is genuinely serious about doing that, wouldn't that hint that there is something seriously wrong with the player, beyond what is happening on the field (or beyond the failure to get on the field in the case of Bird)?I don't believe it, paying 700k to get a player of the books and leaving yourself with 275k to replace him.
