None. He was a fucking gun.
Everytime he touched the ball you knew something special was about to happen.

He wasn’t under payed , no team wanted him we gave him a shot .
It took him 2 years before he shined,
Barba couldn’t even catch the high balls remember.
2012 was his best year .
Then all down hill from there.

Yeah back in the day when he was snorting a truck load of cocaine a week.
How the testing agency didn't catch up with him until 2016 is beyond belief.
Anyway the Ben Barba of 2012 has gone forever, up in many puffs of white powdery substance.

Eastwood should get first choice on what way he goes, pretty weak if external pressure decides for him.

He was amazing in 2016 with the sharkies. If he had he’s head on right I would bet my left arm that we would have won a premiership by now and that he would have won another 2 Dally M medals, he would have been in all the rep sides. There hasn’t been another player in my life time that had more X-Factor then him, players like JT and Cam Smith are legends and probably in the top 5 players ever but they are wizards of the game not X-Factors, I once had a 2 min private convo with Wayne Bennett in 2012 during Benny’s amazing season at a function and when I asked him about he’s thoughts on Barba he simply said “once in a lifetime ability” and “he might not be the greatest player of your generation but you will never forget him”. It hurt when he left because you could tell that we wouldn’t recover for a while. I’ve never seen someone have there way with a ball so easy.

I didn’t get to see McGrady play but from the highlight videos I’ve seen he looked amazing but I feel like Barba just has this extra thing that all great players have, something that you can’t really explain, sort of like a spark. McGrady seemed like an entertaining player to watch but Barba is a player who can lead your side to the grand final single handling and carry the team.

Despite his ability I'd prefer us win without him.

Him leaving after that 2012 season was gut wrenching, it was looking like he'd be carving up for us for the next decade.

Now though, he isn't worth the trouble. Especially with the fresh start we are getting with Pay. Signing someone like him would seemingly go against what we're trying to build.

perrett has provided me with more thrills and excitement including the try saver against the roosters in 2014 when barba literally would act like he was wrongfooted in order to not attempt a tackle

He didn't have the mental strength that Bennett demands of his players.
