In the end was a selfish weasel sook who thought his shit didnt stink. Didnt give a fuck about being a team player.
His best performance "oh my ankle" as he left the feild. So yeah bring him back, hes exactly the type of player we should be recruiting.

No way. Ratboy is a deadset dickhead. Biggest waste of potential ever, he will never be mentally tough enough to be worth a punt.

He wouldn't survive an ankle lock under Kurt Angle.

I would add Jacob Loko to that list as well.

Yeah we should sign him up... and hope opposition teams sign up his wife as a front of jersey sponsor..

He would smash every team alone

ben barba was a bigger wuss than benji marshall, the storm knew this in the gf 2012 when they put in that kick that he barba had to attack but dogged it and let the storm score a try

Such a big wuss that he ended up wining his premiership ring against the storm after an outstanding season, Ppl can call him what they want fact is we still havent filled the hole that he left.

All i hear is bla bla bla... he got us single handedly to a GF, played some of the best footy we have ever seen a dogs FB play, he won a GF with sharks and is still a freak player.
Shits all over Mbye and would be best thing to happen to us and for him. Redemption.
You guys talk like he is the only player in the world who has made dumb decisions in their life.
Give me talent and a dickhead personality over an avge player who is a good guy. Hoppa is perfect example of this. How did that work for us...

What a pack of sore losers this forum is. Name me a player who's provided you with more thrills and excitement in the past 5-10 years than Benny Barba. An absolute genius on his day. I'd take him back in a heartbeat.

That whole single handed line was the thing he was throwing at teammates which made t them want to kick his ass. It was a massive team effort in 2012 that got us to the final. Barba reaped the benefit of that in his best season ever.

When a player is taking drugs and beating his missus and big noting to his teammates he doesn't deserve an upgrade to my way of thinking.

Fair enough. Did he provide the Broncos with thrills and excitement?

No he didn't, he was underpaid by a lot . In 2013 he was only on 330k and Trex was on 650k.
Des didn't value barba , he had a different game plan using forwards.
    That went well lol.

Yeah I hold an unpopular opinion on this..
But you can't ignore the fact that he was underpaid for being dally m player of the year.. probably of the decade.

You could make the argument that the pay rise might have kept him here, but given the fact that he's never come remotely close to that season in the five years that followed means it was the right choice to have held off on upgrading his contract.

people should not forget just how great Barba was in 2012... a well deserved Dally M winner and just great to watch

but things unraveled so quickly for him at the Dogs being stood down by Greenberg at the beginning of 2013, allegations of domestic abuse, talk of bust ups with teammates, alcoholism, that 'Epic Bender Crew' rubbish, ankle injuries etc. which contributed to a poor 2013 for the Dogs club as a whole... he then forces a move "home" to the Broncos which was not successful with Bennett forcing him out when he returned and he then moved to the Sharks where he does win a premiership

but even then, Barba fails a drug test post-GF... does he take his punishment and wait to return to the field with the Sharks? no... claiming he needs to feed his family, he signs for a European club

too selfish, too much baggage and should not be brought back
