No. Defensively we were better no doubt about it, once the 6 again came in that all changed under Pay.

1. He got exposed with the 6 again rule change couldn't adapt. (cattle was worse than now but we were getting blown off the park)

2. His recruitment targets weren't up to standard (Napa) etc.

Our season will effectively end after Round 25 early Sept. The players go on leave. The season ends early October, Flanagan needs to be there from October 1, so he can appoint his support staff, trainers, conditioners, coaches so that the players know what to expect when they return to work November 1. Flanagan needs time to get his head around the extent of our problems, and final roster decisions for next season can be made before November 1 ideally.
