I find this observation ridiculous in a number of way.
Firstly there is no way you can tell if he was off his head and to claim he was off his head a number of times on television is delusional.

The reason people often take drugs is to medicate pain because they actually can’t help themselves. The drug takes away the pain. So it becomes a habit.

People self medicate with food, drugs, alcohol, gambling and porn.
They are trying to cope with a pain they don’t know how to address

Very rare they don't hurt someone, at least mentally. Be it parents, partners, siblings, kids. Either stealing, or not with it when trying to have a family life and normal communication.

There's always a price to pay one way or another.

Any industry has bad people, but talking about mental health care like this is akin to characterising all Dogs fans based on the one idiot that turned up at court wearing a dog's jersey.
