“Following the 2020 NRL grand final, Brent Naden approached the club and disclosed a number of personal issues he wished to address,” the Panthers said in a statement.

“As a result, Brent is currently undertaking a voluntary rehabilitation program in a private Sydney facility.

“Brent, his family, his management and the club kindly ask the media to respect his privacy and will be making no further comment at this time.”

Naden has scored 20 tries in 30 games since making his Penrith debut in 2019.

He also spent time in the lower grades at Canberra and Newcastle.

Looks like burton might be playing centre and may be the reason why burton hasn’t been released for 2021.

But there are a few holes with this.
A) they played Tyrone may in the centres ahead of Nadine seeming to indicate he is already ahead in the pecking order. This means that again Burton would be blocked anyway.
B) does Burton even want to play centre? Seems a bit of a waste

How is this even news? He hasn’t hurt anyone and is trying to deal with his issues. It doesn’t need to be reported.
Sounds like panthers knew. First line seems defensive to me. Following us dropping him he admitted to having a problem and needed some help

Good on him if hes getting the help he needs and for raising a hand

That's hard for the lad, he copped unwanted attention earlier in the season with that crowd racism, and the media about him through the finals was likely additional stress. Whatever the details, alcohol is not a sustainable coping method, hopefully he pays attention to the therapy sessions that will undoubtedly teach better coping skills, and makes use of them.

He’s just trying to heal, he played this season going through with whatever he is struggling with so the Panthers should be able to play him next year.

Pretty fortunate football players how they can enter expensive rehab programs without having to pay for it,
a lot of ppl in general would benefit from these type of things I reckon
