News BREAKING: Lachlan Galvin drops bombshell as young gun rejects Tigers $5m offer

He is contracted until the end of 2026. Might want to fact check before you attempt to throw shade, fam lol

Which is how long from now? Lmfao are you serious?

Hey Siri how long is November 2026 from now? A: It’s 18 months and 3 weeks away.

Bro thought he had a great comeback and got knocked down again! Bwahahaha

Whoever leaked it, tigers, agent just a fucking wrong move. Tigers would be dumb enough to do it, but the fact it was even said is just as dumb

They expedited the meeting though because they wanted an answer. Well, they got their answer then released a butthurt statement *shrug*

I think Kevvie deserves a mention in all of this. People may not rate him as a coach, but I thought he handled Cobbo really well and Cobbo actually did say negative shit about him on a public platform for no reason whatsoever.. Cobbo wasn't leaving the Broncos or anything.

Yeah he took his comments on a podcast on the chin, and/or had a word to him in private and they got on with the job. We’re talking about literal kids in a lot of these situations. I’m not saying they don’t have any responsibility, but there are better ways to deal with stuff like that, like Kev showed in that situation.

The last 24 hours seems to have exposed the Tigers as a toxic cesspit of douchebaggery.

As much as Galvin's manager might be a massive problem, he's definitely better off out of that sewer.

From the management, to the coach, to the players, they have issues far and wide.

I work with a bloke who knows the Galvins and he told me something that was talked about weeks ago
So apparently there is more to this and it’ll come out over the next few weeks or so that Luai and co from the moment they walked into tigers completely shut off Galvin and there’s a clique of islander boys (started before Luai and Turuva joined actually) who were pushing for Fainu to start and have also made others feel not apart of the team. Bateman and Klemmer also didn’t get along with them. And this is why tigers come out first to look like the better party.
Sit back and relax people this could get juicy. Kids don’t walk away from $5 million contracts for nothing

I fuckin knew it!

not saying I buy into this, but it is interesting given which players were quick to go after him in their Instagram posts. People will claim Luai's post wasn't an issue and that it's more the pile on, but Jarome knew what he was doing, he knew that post would blow up. Not to mention using a song title to call Galvin a "bitch".... classy.

Exactly bro. Nothing wrong with saying “team first” but the song choice was no coincidence. That’s how the youth roll. They have all these subversive ways of saying something without actually saying it. Look into the meaning they put on emojis for one thing. I never realised until I saw it explained that they use them for more than just showing agreement, sadness, happiness etc. there’s a meaning for everything and with only emojis they can bully other kids.

RLPA will get involved. And tigers will go into damage control.
Like it or not it could be classed as cyber-bullying. Galvin did nothing wrong.
Turuva went way too far.
Tigpies win a few games and all of the sudden they think they can do whatever they want lol

They’re getting way ahead of themselves. Only beat Parra, Dolphins and the awful Knights that we had a similar win over (minus allowing a try).

Him having issues reportedly dates back before he even debuted. I don't think it's much of a stretch to suggest there's several reasons why a player would want to leave a basket case club.

The only reason people are questioning him now, is because Tigers have looked a little better this year, but the thing is, that doesn't mean everything behind the scenes is better, they just got lucky with quality players on the market who were not pursued harder by better clubs.

Honestly the way players are dictating to the coach there, and the way team mates are piling it on in public, I don't think it's hard to imagine that it's not the best environment at Wests.

Let’s be realistic, they only got Luai because they are paying him a ridiculous $1.4m per year. They got Turuva and Skelton which are whatever and only got May because Roosters told him to bugger off.

Typical Panther ferals

on a lighter note, it's funny watching some of the Tigers fans and Tigers sympathisers on socials trying to work out which potential suitor to be mad at.

Your calculations appear to be correct, professor.... only problem is Galvin reportedly made those comments after a heavy loss to the Dragons in Round 14 last year.

Honestly, we all get stuff wrong on occasion, but it takes a special effort to double down after having your error pointed out to you only to get things even wronger. Well done!

Good luck with that one, they haven't done anything wrong in the posts, all they have stated is Team First, that's it. Oh the horror players want to have team unity as the forefront, it's what Penrith was known for the last 4 plus years. It's what a lot of teams practice, if you follow AFL a little bit it's what the Lions sent around early last year, look how that turned out too.

End of the day a stand had to be made.

I don't know much about workplace laws but I would imagine they would work differently in an environment like professional sport. They've called him a "bitch" on a public platform for one, that's gotta have some weight to it. And also endorsing comments about smashing him... as these things add up, I'm sure a good lawyer could potentially capitalise.

Gus is going to throw the club at him isn’t he..
Doubt it. We have plenty halves. Also i think sexton is better. Galvin has more x factor but sexton makes a lot less mistakes. Galvin has a lot of errors in him, the style he plays.

Why are you comparing a 6 to a 7? They play totally different positions.

I think that Galvin goes to the Eels anyway.
