anyone know what it could be
Brad Arthur and the Parramatta Eels are sticking together.
After falling to eventual champions Penrith in the second week of the NRL Finals, the Eels have committed to Arthur; granting the head coach a contract extension that runs until 2024.
In simple terms, the deal is a two-year extension, with Arthur previously contracted to coach through the 2022 campaign.
The deal comes not long after Arthur led a timely Eels revival, with his status as head coach at one point looking in danger, before a strong finish to the season seemingly saved him.
“We have come a long way as a Club both on and off the field in recent years and Brad has played a major part in that,” Parramatta Eels CEO, Jim Sarantinos, said.
“We have assembled a strong roster, developed a number of players to representative quality, and brought a series of Parramatta juniors through to NRL level during that time.
“We have consistently played finals football over the last few years and we have a strongly connected group of players who will continue to grow and develop together over the coming seasons.
“We believe that Brad is the best person to lead our Club towards challenging for a premiership.”
