Nah mate he's been with us for 3 years and for the first 2 he was with kyle "vampire" Flanagan, during those 2 years he's been criticised for not being an actually 5/8 but this year he was chosen for the blues & Australia, he's going to be one of the best 5/8 in the game in a couple years once our team gels real good other than that I don't know what personal beef you have with him but speak to kennel lizard he'll tell you how to sort it out don't stress ;)

He and his mate he keeps tagging don't give opinions on TK, they give statements of fact, like they know exactly what is going on in the club, and they know Gus intimately. And of course, every one of those statements is a dig at Gus. Every now and then there's some faint praise for Gus and then there's a 'but'.

As you say, the Hans Christian Andersen of The Kennel, a writer of fairytales.

But I have another view. I think there are some on TK who are:
- relatives/supporters of Dib, the Andersons, or other failed ex leaders of the club,
- ex employees of the club who were moved on by Gus.

Polly Waffle seems to know a bit about the club. I have wondered if he is an ex-employee who was moved on and still has a contact in the club who is leaking info to him. Maybe Gus needs to know that there are still leaks in the club.
 
The article on the contract withdrawal stated:

"Bulldogs general manager Phil Gould and coach Cameron Ciraldo had met with Hunt last week over dinner but it’s understood the club has withdrawn from the race to sign the 34-year-old."

There were reports and commonly posted in here on Friday that Hunt was spotted touring the facilities.

My beef isnt with him personally. I just think he lacks on 3 out of 4 key attributes a top 5/8th would have (passing game, kicking game, running game, defence)

He is good at kicking. One of the better ones out there. He should be alot better at running than he shows. Defence is meh and passing game is non existent. I have severe doubts he'll ever be in top echelon of 5/8ths. But he'll be remembered for his kicking.

As for the Bulldogs, if we had guns in the other spine positions, i wouldnt be too fussed with Burton taking up the 5/8th spot. But we dont have any and dont look like we want any. That im afraid will hold us back.

Hunt and Pappenhuyzen would have made a huge difference. Not getting either is asking for trouble.
 
These daily articles are painful, every club has had their turn of “Being in the boxed seat” apparently this **** should just pick a club ffs

Burton has the most lethal running game. His only weakness is that he's too team focused and too focused on the kicking options that he just doesn't use his running game enough.

Ben Hunt was released a day before Josh Addo-Carr was sacked and look how quickly Fox has not only signed with a new club but settled in very nicely.

We had three shots at getting Hunt two of them proved to be a circus created by Hunt. The problem for us is we walked into the latest one knowing what happened the previous time.

That doesn't prove that Hunt made his decision on Saturday, or that he decided to turn us down.

Yeah I hear you for sure and agree, I know it should be about performance but I can’t help but this the unexpected bond within the current team may have had an influence whether Hunt would have been a good fit with the team regardless if he’s a better half, if the free cap space is as big as Gus says then it will be a bit dissapointing if he don’t even land Thompson

How come every player we offer a contract too has the offer 'withdrawn' not long before his new club officially announces the deal?

Generally in the contract talks a player will notify clubs they have declined or taken up a deal elsewhere.

Luai confirmed in his press conference the hardest phone call was the one to Ciraldo. Luai owned it.

Everything with Ben Hunt is a circus and somehow is always played out in the media.

Maybe for once Shane Flanagan isn't in the wrong.

James Graham has Flanagan on his latest podcast. Well worth watching. I caught half of it last night. Flanagan talked about leadership and playing styles made references Hunt is more a running player and was praising the leadership qualities of Gutherson and Cook.

As Burton is a pure running player having Hunt might not have been a good dynamic. The issue is not that we withdrew the offer we offered one in the first place to withdraw knowing Hunt makes contract situations a circus and internal meetings at Dragons found its way to the media. Always seems to happen when Hunt is training with rep teams.

Listen to the Luai conference once again and come back and tell the actual truth.

Luai stated clearly when he was asked when he advised others of his decision, his response was, 'Properly? Everyone is finding out today. No one knew.'

Again, you continue to get things wrong and present them as fact.

I agree with signing atleast one out of paps and hunt, as for burto his running game and kicking is dangerous, because our pack was a little small this year if we didn't have his boot we'd be in a fair bit of trouble most games, I agree he needs a half that organises and takes control, hunt would of been really good in that aspect. Hopefully Woods lives up to his expectation and say we were to blood a 5/8 that is a gun too match with Woods we would still have Burton maybe a lock or a 14, off the bench he's abnormal but we need his kicking so we can keep opposition in their own 20 until they break and fold like a house of cards

Signing players would be great and all, but keeping Gus’s ego intact is the most important thing.
