You do realise that they pay up to 45% income tax, so they don't actually get $1.2m a year. As professional athletes they do get concessions from the ATO such as income averaging, due to them not having a full working life of 40/50 years, often it's less than 10 years.For 1.2million a year i'd be doing exactly what my employer wanted.
