People went down my throat when I said this months ago. He is a hooker pretending to be a halfback

If he wanted the job then yes.!! Problem is he won’t leave and he only has a few good games. But his best position is definitely 9.!!

He would need to have multiple good games on the big stage, at the moment he hasn't proven himself. I think if NSW had different players in the halves he wouldn't have had the game he did yesterday.

Seriously one player has a good game and the Kennel reacts by proposing we sign them.
While not taking into account their contract status at all or whether they'd have any interest in signing with us.

Yep I have been a
Long time admirer of his as a number 9. Would be a great get if we could get him.

We needed to show interest in Hunt about 1 year ago when he wasn't in the best form. Now he's in prime form (still not worth what he's on) and the Dragons would only let him go if it's beneficial to them, e.g. amount we're contributing and it won't be anywhere near what we're willing to pay.

Doubt the Dragons let him go after promoting him as captain this year.
Of course they don’t let him go. He’s on $1.2 million for the next 2 so unless someone matches that or gets pretty close he ain’t going anywhere

If we were to ever sign him, it must be written into his contract to NEVER catch the ball from a kick-off, let alone in our 2024 Grand Final win.

For 1.2million a year i'd be doing exactly what my employer wanted. You'd only have to work for 3 years. Buy a million dollar home every year, and blow the left over $200,000 on whatever you please.

You do realise that they pay up to 45% income tax, so they don't actually get $1.2m a year. As professional athletes they do get concessions from the ATO such as income averaging, due to them not having a full working life of 40/50 years, often it's less than 10 years.

Some equivalency a player on $500k a year for 10 years is the same as someone on $100k for 50 years.
