We probably got the best out of him. His career sort of went downhill after he went back to Brisbane and then cowboys. Pretty sure he was an Australian rep while with us.

I believe he got the Dally M Prop of the year in his first season with us in 2009.

Now we know why he so desperately wanted to leave & his form changed. I haven't listened yet but I hope his young bloke is ok.

Yep, his son is good now, he has a tribe of kids, 8 if I remember rightly and Ben himself comes from a large family, with 10 bothers and sisters. He does lots of charity work, rides an awesome Indian motorcycle and has a bike collection including a Victory which is a sister company to Indian.

In 2011 he went back to Brisbane he was picked for SOO and Kangaroos, so his form in the first half of the season was good. The second half not so good, he had bad knees, which hampered him when he went to Toonsville.

When I am up that way I listen to him on the wireless (sic), he's the Breakfast Radio Announcer on 90.9 SeaFM.

Poor bloke. I was pissed when he left, but had no idea what he was going through. Hope things are better for his family now.
